Season 2024 started! Started up with 3 seeds Guava Auto from Fast Buds! Result on one day in a glass of water and one day in a wet towel, 3 out off 3 rooted!😎
Planted them in soil by Canna Pro, like I did last couple of years with satisfying results.
🙏 Lets hope we get a lot off sun from now on!
Btw, the chalk on the pot's edges works against snails
Hi amigos, started week 2 and survived a couple of heavy rain, hail, wind and snail attacks this week! Next week I'm gonna put 2 of these in my sisters garden because theres more hours of sun there!
So there growing and because they have rain every day, I think there doing quit well!
At night I put a glass bowl over them because I think my garden is snail infested this summer.
Adios amigos✋😎
Rainy week, all going according to plan, snails are still a big problem this year. I got 1 plant in my backyard and to at my sisters gargen because they get more hours of sun up there.
I'll expect a grow spurt next week😎
Week 4, things start to accelarate now, 5 fingered solar panels means grow! It grew about 10 cm last week! I haven't given them any water because the daily rain takes care of it. 😎
All 3 guava's look healthy. 👍
Well, they say that the world is warming up, but that's probably not the case in the Netherlands..... It's supposed to be summer but the daily temp is around 14 degrees celsius and it's raining each day for about 2 months now.... In spite of that, my Guava's reached a lenght of 34 cm which is less to the auto's from former journals. So, not only my plants, but I'm dying to get some sun too!
That's not all because the snails keep attacking my plants too, when I see them, I'll have to give them some flying lessons, they are a real plaque this year.
I'll expect not the same early flowering stage like the tropicana cookies from last year. We'll see!
Keep ya posted!👊😎
Week 6 veg stage, sun was still not shining this week, outside temps still low for the time of the year. The guava in my garden only grew 9 cm's this week, which is low compared to the banana purple punch next to it which did grow 20 cm's this week. Got no explanation for it. The guava in my garden has a 40 liter pot size, but isn't the tallest plant, the one at my sisters garden is bigger. So the pot size doesn't automaticaly garantees the tallest plant. Got to keep that in mind for next year, because the soil is quit expensive. In the smallest pot is a different kind of soil because I didn't had enough Canna pro soil left at the start.
The small pot doesn't seem to be a great performer. The forecast predicts sunny weather next week which is hopefull for a grow spurt and we are close to flowering stage.
Keep yah posted!
adios😎
Flowering stage was scratching on the door and is finally in! It grew 25 cm 's last week! Flowering started and the weather turned into sunny instead of rainy, let's hope it builts up some big cola's in the coming weeks!
Keeping my soil dry to get enough air in the ground! Not feeding any nutrients btw, keeping it all natural!😎
Just a little more sun then the weeks before resulted in a total height of 76 cm's, which is pretty fine! I like the looks of my plant, it's nice and green, branches are setting out wide. Flowering is expanding each day, theres no smell yet though! I've been growing autoflowers for about 12 years now and my main advise for new growers is "less is more!". Just good soil (Canna Pro), rain water, no chemical nutrients! Keep your hands to yourself, don't touch your plant all the time! Just make sure theres no insects and snails eating your crops. I'm still considering if I'm gonna feed it Plagron Bloom this year, maybe I'll keep the 2 plants in my garden (1 guava and 1 banana purple punch) all natural, and the 3 plants in my sisters garden (2 guavas and 1 bpp) added with some plagron bloom in the coming days. The soil of the plants in my sisters garden is different because I didn't had enough Canna Pro when I started. You can see it's out of nitrogen, leafs alreay yellow.
Still considering.......🤔
I'm curious if there is going to be a significant difference in taste and yield...
I'm also planning to make hash from the kif(check out my Tropicana cookies form last year) of the 2 guavas at my sisters place, choices choices choices..........!!!! Lets see how the buds develop in the coming week and make a discision then!😎
This is a diary of hope, because it's been raining for 8 months now and next month is the last month of summer......😔
If it doesn't change quickly.....I fear for the worst case scenario...!!!
Need some sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😡
Fed my 3 guavas Plagron Bloom last week, today starting week 10 in flowering stage! Had to keep them in my barn last couple of days because the raining is really terrible this year. Coming days the forecast is okay, about 28 degrees celsius ahead till sunday, then the fucking monsoon is back again! Plants seem to be doing okay, there sweating thc😎 !!!
Lets hope the mold and rot stays away! They are also starting to smell stronger. Buds are still developing!
Trimmed the 2 plants at my sister on friday.
Week 11 started yesterday, fed my plants Plagron Bloom in the last week in 3 doses. Because of the bad summer with almost no sun, cloudy and rainy weather each day, I'm not gonna expect big yields!
The smell is increasing though, considering the weather forecast, it's probably harvest day coming wednesday.😎 One of the two plants at my sisters garden keeps small and a litlle fluffy, I call it the midget.
Planning to make hash out of that one
adios amigos
Hi guys, the time is near! I'll expect to harvest in a couple of days! I flushed them 2 times last week en let them dry out for now.... At last summer seems to have arrived, the forecast predicts a couple of tropical days ahead!👍 Considering this and the way the look, I'll expect to harvast on saturday or sunday (today is thursday)!
It's a pitty that de Banana Purple Punch in my garden keeps on being stalked by insects, lice, caterpillars, snails, they all want their piece!!!!😣
I have my Guava auto standing next to this one, and funny enough this is infested at all😳, the insects don;t seem to like guava.....!
I'm very curious how "the fluffy midget" turns out eventually, it looks like a amnesia autoflower I had years ago which wasn't a great smoke/bud.... We'll see!
Keep ya posted😎
Harvest 2024 Low Yield, bad summer!
Started this season with 3 plants and all went according to plan, growing it easy in spite of rainy cloudy weather almost each day! And there was a snail invasion this season, attacking the plants. Only a few days of real sunlight each week resulted in one dwarf plant which was so fluffy it wasn't worth harvesting it because it would end up like a skeleton. This guava grew at my sisters garden where there's usualy more hours of sunlight compared to my garden. The other guava up there was half fluffy so I only used the bigger buds to make kif later. I also saved the sugarleafes for that purpose later. The plant at my garden however, look good, was healthy, small but goodlooking buds drenched in thc, sticky like as glue. Much bigger yield but probably not the usual amount in grams...
I didn't weigh wet, but writing this, I'm smoking the hash from my scissor and it tasted and feels great!!!😎
Finally the results! 53 grams on my plant dried out, saved 24 grams on my sisters plant. Guava has a reallly nice and strong high and I'm very surprised how long the high last!!! Impressive that a very regular smoker like me can get totally paralised locked into a rush for a whole afternoon on none joint! Taste very smooth, herby and smokes awesome without coughing your lungs out!
Very very good strain and bug resistant for outdoor growers!!!! Made some hash from the sugarleaves, still need to test that!😎😀
