Failed on starting my last batch in soil, deciding this time to start in coco and transplant to soil at around 6-7 weeks of veg time indoors in my tent.
Starting off strong, waaay better than starting in soil. Made the right choice on substrate.
Think the soil might have been too hot before, makes sense because my other garden starts turned purple from too much phosphorous o
Starting out the second week well. One of the plants is looking a little funky, but it’s pushing through okay.
The small one on the bottom right was planted late as one of the seeds did not make it. This is week 2 of 6 that I will be vegging indoors. Going to start hardening off week 4.
Starting out week 3 of veg.
Plants are ok, had a little bit of a ph issue last week that gave some of the plant’s bottom leaves get white spots.
Turned lights up to 75% power, going to leave it there until transplanting outside (will happen around week 7).
Adjustment this week,
Lowering temps to get them ready for outside, lowering a few degrees a day.
Lowered the amount of light, they’re at 18/6 now, was at 20/4
Giving away two of the plants this week to a friend, so I wil be left with three. Going to transplant them into 10 gal pots with soil.
5th week of veg. Plants are finally comfortable after the transplant. Growing vigorously, almost an inch a day.
Watering about 2 liters every 3-4 days or until soil is dry down to the send knuckle.
Going to put plants outside until nighttime temps are over 50f.
Probably another two weeks.
Plants are officially moved out! Everything is looking good, indoor plants in the greenhouse and greenhouse plants moved outside.
Going to be keeping a lazy eye on them for a few weeks before blooming in late july.
Been a cold, wet, dark start to this summer. Inches of rain, and temps in the mid 50s.
Growth has slowed to a crawl, maybe .25 inches a day. Plants seem to be OK but not thriving.
Things will change this week though! Looking at temps in the high 60s to mid 70s which is perfect for these ladies to run to the sun!
Shortest is 23 in (gelato) and tallest is my pakistan valley at 36 (as of monday the 17th).
Going to feed them a nice top dress of worm castings and 444 on the 30th on their journey to blooming.
Expecting around 5-7ft plants by flower stretch time, hopefully some 8 footers.
Week 8 has been a breeze. Slightly warmer temps and nighttime lows over 50 have made for good solid growth.
Seeing some weird fasciation on my blueberry muffin plants. Going to let it ride! See what happens.
Plants are all over 40 inches now, just topped dressed with 444, 284, and worm castings on the 29th.
Hot, hot weather ahead.
Such a breeze.. Just letting them go and letting mother nature take the wheel. The two clones are very underfed for their size, but will top dress when flowering starts. Might liquid mute with some fox farm.
Ninth week of veg almost complete. About to start on the flowering quest. Going to heavily top dress with gaia green bloom on Saturday the 13th.
Pre flower has started and these ladies need everything they got.
Tallest is 60in, which is the blueberry muffin, the pakistani is maxed out pre-flower at 44.
The final week of veg has come! All plants are starting to pre-flower.
Going to cruise through this week and into the next with just plain water. Saturday I was able to top dress and lollipop the bottoms so they are ready to put their energy into some nice blooms!
Last week of veg… I hope… Wverything is fully in pre-flower and still growing, largest plant is over 6ft tall. Clones are looking OK but have been feeding them tiger bloom every other watering. Probably needs a lot more nutrient though..
Blueberry muffins are showing their colors!
Going to top dress one more time with gaia green bloom feed and start feeding tiger bloom at a heavy feeding level until they are done.
Not quite fully blooming yet, pre flower is strong though… Maybe another week…?
Finally!! All plants are throwing out pistils, pre flower looks like it’s wrapping up, stretching is starting.
Feeding plants 1tbsp of tiger bloom daily with 1.5 gallons of water. They are thirsty.
Tallest plant is now 80 inches, shortest is 60.
Well.. Still more in a pre-bloom phase.. Not many pistils and still stretching like crazy.
Watering 2gal a day on average and feeding every other day. Still growing vigorously
Storm came through on August 17th... 2 inches of rain, heavy thunderstorms and winds up to 40mph. Absolutely destroyed my poor blueberry muffin plants. Lost 13 branches in total..
After the loss of many branches from the storm and stress on the plants, they seem to be healthy.
Weather is already starting to get cold.. Dropped below 50 degrees at night this week. Cloudy, almost no sun and slow growth.
However, flowering is in full effect!! Finally.. Every branch has budding showing, even getting a little purple fade on some of the blueberry muffin plants.
Should not be this cold in august for my area, might need to finish these ladies out in the garage if they don't get much taller.. Tallest is almost 8 feet tall.
Well.. A slow week on blooming. Night temps are dipping below 50 already, purple coming through on the short bbm plant.
Planning on moving them (ones that will fit) into the garage around the end of september to finish them out to prevent mold.
Purple buds on the bbm though!!
Week 5 of bloom… Very far behind at this point in time. Planning on getting a hoop house or putting them inside to finish out. Will get bud rot or have to harvest early if I don’t.
Plants look happy and healthy though!
Buds are really starting to form. Bbm smells like fake blueberries and syrup.. Pakistani is more lemony with a slight skunk.
Feeding them about 25-30ml of tiger bloom daily with 1.5 gallons of water each. Thirsty. If I don't feed them the leaves will turn yellow in a day even though I already top dressed with over 2lbs of gaia green bloom nutes last month (2-8-4).
Still planning on bringing the short plants indoors before it gets too rainy. Cold ok but it's a forest here..
Week 7 of bloom. Decided to not bring them inside…. Only have 600 watts of leds, would barley cover one plant.
Did a major defoliation of all plants on the 16th to help out with airflow to prevent rot.
Smellin good!
