On the evening of 22.04 I just put three seeds in the soil, and within a day on 27.04 all three seeds had sprouted.
I am a newbie and I am growing just for fun because now I can, without big expectations, just as houseplants on the windowsill, orientation south.
on the 3.05 I moved them into separate pots, different sizes, from 3 to 5 litres. It's funny that the one in the small pot is growing taller than the others.
The soil is from denns supermarkt, liquid fertiliser is "universaldünger" from edeka which I use for my other plants.
I also put nematodes against parasitic midges on this week.
Brought them back, weather is too windy and rainy.
They are growing not so fast, duckfeet leaves are already here, but but the stems are still thin. And there's a faint odour, very pleasant.
They started to blossom, however the growth is not very impressive.
The plants give off a very slight but very pleasant odour when they are warmed up in the sun.
A week ago there was a strong wind that damaged one plant, which has since slowed down.
they're growing, I love it.
I've hardly watered them this week, they seem to like it too.
The third plant, which was damaged by the wind the week before last, is starting to recover, but it is stunted.
They smell amazing, I brought them back into the room today to hide from the rain and the smell is knocking me down.
I have no experience with other strains, but I would rate their odor moderate to strong.
Also, all three have their own character: one smells weaker but more earthy and sour, the other is powerfully sweet and heady, the third, the smaller one is also sweet and fruity. Beautiful.
Some nasty insects are attacking the leaves. The flowers and small fresh leaves are still fine, but the situation is worrying.
There is a tray of tomatoes nearby, they are growing very well without any signs of pests.
I brewed a pack of tobacco and sprayed it over, will see what it does.
Well, here's my first result, I'm happy!
It took 84 days from germination to harvesting.
I don't have a scale at home, so I don't know how much is it, but it doesn't feel like much.
The smell is amazing, very summery, fresh, with citrus notes.
I will try them next week and do an update here afterwards.
Jupp, that are leafminers indeed. You can turn leaves to look if you see a small cocoon. You can crush it with your fingers.
But best would be if you remove the damaged leaves to make sure that it doesn't spread further. Don't put the leaves in the compost. Good look with your grow and wish you a good harvest
@Smoking_Joe_Frasier, thank you for the advice! I found and removed some leafminers on the backside of the leaves (they looked like little flies, light brown with pink eyes), sparyed a few times with tobacco water and cut off especially badly damaged leaves. Hopefully that helped as there is no more damage.
