Runtz Muffin grows like a charm, already moved to the next container, no problems so far with her. Turned the light to 40%, which turned out to be too much for the Special Queen at this stage, burned the first set of leafs and stunted it a little bit.
@allways_beginner, Thank you! Honestly I'm a little troubled, the stretch is huge. Much more than I've had before, for some reason. It's honestly too much, I can't really adjust the light any higher and I'm looking for signs of too much light every day, because it's almost directly under the light already. That's why you shouldn't wait much longer for your flip 😃
@allways_beginner, You always have some of all types. Leaves generally ripen faster in regards to trichomes, whereas pistils ripen much later, you want to look at the pistils bc of that.
The most clear trichomes you can see on the Runtz Muffin, which is supposed to have a somewhat shorter flowering time than the Special Queen. She isn't ready yet though. My Special Queen on the other hand is good to be harvested already. I'll have to give her time until the Runtz Muffin ripenes, unfortunately.
@allways_beginner, thank you! The tomatoes unfortunately didn't like the transplating. I kept two of them though, just to see if they keep growing outside.
Still hoping that my Special Queen #1's buds blow up like yours. Your plants look phantastic ... . I still have maybe 4 weeks to go. Best thing about it: The LSSH (Lemon Shining Silver Hsze) realized 3 days ago that she should start flowering XD . Will have to run the lights longer due to her flowering late ... . We'll see.
Hi. Could you pls explain how you treat the plants before harvest and how you dry them? And If you further threat them ... you know what I mean. Will there be Pics of the trichomes?
@allways_beginner, So when I'm growing an Indica type of strain I aim to achieve at least 70 / 30 milky to amber trichomes, with Sativas I try to harvest at mostly milky. Since I've got to differently ripening strains here I will harvest when the later one is ready. When I know I'm going to harvest in a few days, I won't use nutrients anymore. Two days before harvest i turn off the lights. I don't know if this really boosts the THC production, but it doesn't hurt either. Then I harvest my plants, I pull off all the fan leaves, cut off the branches. I pull some strings from side to side in my growbox and loosely hang the branches in there, careful to have enough space inbetween them. I still let my exhaust fan run and my inside fan, I put it as far down as I can to have some air flow in the tent, but not let the wind blow directly against my weed. If the sugar leaves have enough trichomes I just let them sit, if they don't, I cut them off after drying.
@allways_beginner, No I don't. Measuring devices are expensive and unnecessary for small space grows. I just somewhat stick with the lamp manufacturers declarations and "read" the signs on my plants. I used to have a chinese Kingbrite 120 watts quantum board, but due to intransparency reasons of the distancing and inefficient illumination space switched to my current lamp.
