Hello Diary,
GOATlato finished the last week of the cycle,
the photo shoot was on the 63rd day from the beginning of the vegetation, and I harvested it two days later.
I didn't think he would be ready now, by the looks of it I would say another week or two.
But my wife is in charge of the observation and loves looking at plants under the microscope.
When I asked her to check the trichome situation, I was surprised when she said, well, it's also ready to harvest.
More than half of the trichomes were milky, so after two days, it was ready to harvest.
I thought it would be over 70 days for sure.
It's great that all three plants at the Farm were harvested at the same time,
so I didn't have to dry them in a cardboard box to protect the flowers from exposure to light.
GOATlato looks nice, the leaves are a bit pale and bell-shaped, but the reason is that it has grown over 100 cm and then it is too close to the lights,
considering that the height of the entire box is 178 cm.
The flowers are puffy, they don't have the hardness of, for example, Corkscrew, but the plant is full of flowers, so I'm ok with that.
I watered the GOATlato three days before harvest because I wanted it to use up all the water to reduce the chance of mold appearing during drying.
Sometimes when the flowers are big and packed and if there is more moisture left in the plant, it is possible that the flower becomes moldy.
Although GOATlato does not have such large flowers, it is better to be safe than sorry.
Last week, the temperature was around 30 degrees, the humidity was below 50%.
This is not ideal for drying, but when the lights are turned off, the temperature and humidity will automatically drop, so it will be just right.
Last week I did not add any nutrients or supplements, I only watered with water.
Here's what it looked like last week.
24/06/2024 - Day 58.
Watering.
I prepared 9 liters of water, for all three plants on the "Farm" and only added Lemon Kick to lower the p.H. on 6.0.
I watered all three plants on the Farm with that amount.
26/06/2024 - Day 60.
Watering. I repeated the procedure as two days earlier.
28/06/2024 - Day 62.
Last watering.
29/06/2024 - Day 63.
Photo shoot for the end of the 9th week.
01/07/2024 - Day 65.
