Hello diary,
It's time for a new journey. The 17th round begins on my little farm and this time, three different strains.
Royal Queen Seeds has teamed up with one of the most recognizable brands in the Cannabis industry, Mike Tyson 💪,
who has been at the top of the industry in America for several years.
And that's how Tyson 2.0 Seeds was born, an exclusive line of cannabis strains created in collaboration with Iron Mike and Royal Queen Seeds.
The collection includes a total of 6 strains, 3 feminized strains and three autoflower strains.
I will have three Autoflower strains in this 17th round, Corkscrew Auto, GOATlato Auto and NYC Sour D Auto.
This diary will be dedicated to GOATlato Auto
At the beginning, let me introduce GOAT'LATO AUTO.
When future generations look back at Gelato genetics, GOAT'lato Auto will certainly rank as one of the Greatest Of All Time.
Much of the success of this champion cultivar boils down to its legendary parent strains.
Gelato 44 passed down boatloads of scrumptious terpenes, whereas Cookies Auto infused the progeny with speedy growing times.
The GOAT'lato Auto weed strain pulls no punches when it comes to its effect.
A seemingly moderate THC content of 20% synergizes with saccharine terpenes to produce a deeply relaxing and euphoric high
that fills the most menial of tasks with the excitement of a title fight.
As she sends waves of relaxation pulsing across the body, her aromatic chemicals target the taste buds with flavors of cookies, fruit, and earthiness.
This speedy strain cruises through its entire growing cycle in as little as 10 weeks, making it ideal for those seeking a quick stash.
SET-UP ON MY LITTLE FARM:
Box - Secret Jardin DS120W 120x60x178
Lights - MIGRO ARAY 4 - 240W
Ventilation - TT Silent-M 100
Filter - Primaklima filter PK 100/125
Fan - Oscillating Koala Fan
Soil - BioBizz Light - Mix
Pot - 11L Air pots
Seed - Royal Queen Seeds
Nutrition - RQS Organic nutrition
So let's start the countdown.
19/04/2024
Planting. I prepared in advance everything I need, pots, soil, nutrients, seeds...
First, I filled the pots halfway and added Easy Boost Organic nutrients in the form of pellets.
I put 50 g of pellets on the pot size of 11 liters. I mixed the soil well and added another quarter of the soil and put in 11g of SeaWeed.
I mix the soil again, add a little extra soil and put 5 g of Mycorrhize Mix. Before I filled the pot with soil to the top, I mixed everything well inside the pot.
After that, I soaked the soil well, made a small hole in the middle of the pot and put the seeds to germinate.
GOATlato arrived in the growbox along with his roommates and began his journey.
The conditions on the farm are as follows - Temperature 28 degrees while humidity is around 45%.
I did not put a humidifier in the hope that the humidity would rise from the moist soil.
Light - The dimmer is at 40% and the lights are 35 cm from the pots.
21/04/2024
The surface of the soil has dried up quite a bit, so I sprinkled a small amount of water on the surface of the soil to improve the conditions for germination.
23/04/2024
GOATlato popped up, about 12 hours later than Corkscrew, while NYC Sour D just peeked out of the ground.
24/04/2024
First watering. I prepared only half a liter of water for each plant. before that I lowered the pH. leads to 6.0.
26/04/2024
Watering. I repeated everything the same as two days earlier.
That's all about germination from me, I hope I have a stress-free trip in the coming weeks.
See you soon. 👋
Hello Diary,
The first week of vegetation on my little "Farm" has ended.
The start of vegetation for GOAT'lato started 5 days after sprouting, a little longer than his roommate Corkscrew so he is a day behind him.
Vegetation starts when the plant puts out at least 4 leaves, that's how I was taught.
The first week GOAT'lato grew to 9 cm and started to form branches. By the end of the first week, he had quite a few new leaves.
Goat'lato also had a couple of brown spots, not like Corkscrew but most importantly it didn't continue to spread to other leaves.
Whatever it was, it's behind me now.
The conditions at the Farm are satisfactory, the temperature is around 28 degrees, while the humidity in the air is around 50-55%.
There should be more humidity, but I didn't use a humidifier this time.
The light is dimmed to 60% and 35 cm away from the plants.
In the first week of vegetation, the lights are on 24 hours, at the beginning of the second week I switch to the 18/6 regime.
The new Migro Aray 4 turned out to be a great choice, the coverage in the grow box is much better, although I noticed that they heat more than the previous Migro 200+.
This week I did not add any nutrients except for CalMg, which I started adding as a preventive measure.
Here's what it looked like last week.
28/04/2024 - Day 1.
The first day of vegetation. GOAT'lato started forming new leaves 5 days after sprouting, which is a sign of entering the vegetation phase.
He was a bit slower to develop at the beginning than his roommate Corkscrew.
29/04/2024 - Day 3.
Watering. I prepared 3 liters of water, lowered the pH. at 6.0 and watered all three plants evenly with that amount.
03/05/2024 - Day 6.
Watering. This time I added CalMg as a precaution. Plants exposed to low light have an increased need for CalMg. Each plant received about 1 liter of water.
04/05/2024 - Day 7.
Photographing GOAT'lato for the end of the first week of vegetation.
GOAT'lato Auto - Day 7. - 9 cm.
That's all from me for this week. See you soon.
Hello Diary,
GOAT'lato is in its second week of vegetation and so far I am very happy with how it is developing.
In fact, all three autoflowers from the Tyson 2.0 collection look great.
At the end of the second week of vegetation, Goat'lato reached almost 20 cm in height,
got a lot of new leaves and started to show the first signs of entering the pre-flowering phase.
The lights are now set to 18/6, they are about 40 cm away from the plants and they are set to 60% power.
Since the grow box is quite small, the temperature is quite high.
The Migro Aray 4 heats up a bit more than my previous lights.
The conditions are good, I would say.
The temperature is around 28 degrees, sometimes even at 29, while the humidity is around 50%.
This week I continued adding CalMg and started adding Bio Flowering Booster, specifically one component which is Bigger Flowers.
Here's what it looked like last week.
06/05/2024 - Day 9.
Watering. I prepared 6 liters of water, put CalMg and Bigger Flowers and after that lowered the p.H. on 6.0.
I watered all three plants on the farm with that amount.
09/05/2024 - Day 12.
Watering. I repeated the same procedure as three days earlier.
11/05/2024 - Day 14.
Photographing GOAT'lato for the end of the second week of the growing season.
GOAT'lato Auto - Day 14. - 19 cm.
That's all from me for this week, see you soon.
Hello Diary,
GOAT'lato has also reached the end of the third week when the vegetation phase officially ends and the flowering phase begins.
It is common for autoflowers to start forming flowers after 20 days. At least that's how it is on my little Farm.
GOAT'lato has formed its shape, the branches have gone wide and the main cola is not so high above the other branches.
In the places where there are nodes, the plant shows its gender, GOAT'lato showed that it is female.
It has grown to a height of 35 cm, which is pretty much in three weeks of vegetation. All three autoflowers are almost equal in height.
Due to the fast growth, I have to raise the height of the lights a little every day so that the plants don't get too close to the lights.
I also increased the power this week to 80%.
Watering is obviously more abundant and more frequent.
Now they get about 2.5 liters every three days, sometimes 4 days.
I continue with CalMg, 1ml/liter, add bio flowering booster (bigger flowers) and this week 3 ml thicker flowers which is a PK booster.
At the second watering, I added one tablet of easy grow booster to get more nutrients for the end of the vegetation.
The temperature in the grow box is high, reaching 30 degrees during the day.
Migro Aray 4 raise the temperature more than I expected.
Still, there are 4 lights and a small space. And summer is just around the corner.
All this together contributes to a higher temperature and I hope that such a temperature will not harm them.
Here's how it looked this week.
12/05/2024 - Day 15.
Watering. This time I put one easy grow booster tablet in 7.5 liters of water. After it dissolved I lowered the p.H. and watered all three plants with that amount.
16/05/2024 - Day 19.
Watering. I prepared 7.5 liters of water, added 7 ml of CalMg, 4 ml of Bigger Flowers and 3 ml of Thicker Flowers. After that I lowered the p.H. on 6.0.
I watered all three plants on the Farm with that amount.
18/05/2024 - Day 21.
Photographing GOAT'lato for the end of the third week of vegetation.
GOAT'lato Auto - Day 21. - 35 cm.
That's all from me, the vegetation is finished and now I'm looking forward to the flowers. New motifs for photography. See you soon.
Hello Diary,
GOATlato officially entered the flowering phase after the 4th week of the cycle.
As you can see from the photos, it has become crowded at the Farm.
The plants have spread and each is trying to get the best for itself.
The GOATlato is in the middle in the Grow box, to the left is Corkscrew and to the right is NYC Sour D.
They lined up nicely from lowest to highest.
GOATlato formed a stable. At the bottom of the stable, I cleaned the twigs and leaves this week, so that the plant can breathe a little.
In the middle, GOATlato is very dense with branches and leaves,
all the surrounding branches have reached the same height and made like a small plateau from which the main cola rises.
It looks a little strange.
GOATlato now clearly shows the female gender, welcome to the maturing phase.
The flowers are starting to form, which can be clearly seen by the much lighter shade of green of the leaves around the flowers.
The leaves look healthy, they are dark green and for now they do not lack any minerals.
That's why I continue to add CalMg with every watering,
I also add Bigger Flowers, which contains an array of enzymes, vitamins, and growth stimulants that are vital to optimal bud formation.
Watering becomes a little more frequent, they ask for more water than the week before.
The conditions at the Farm are so-so, the temperature is around 30 degrees, which is a few degrees too much, but I can't influence it much.
It's a small grow box and the Migro Aray 4 with 4 lamps obviously raises the temperature quite a bit.
I am thinking of changing the fan and filter.
Migro Aray 4 is now at 100% power.
Here is how the first week of flowering looked like.
19/05/2024 - Day 22.
Watering. I prepared 7 liters of water, added 7 ml of CalMg and 5 ml of Bigger Flowers.
After that I lowered the pH. he 6.0. With this, I watered all three plants on the farm evenly.
22/05/2024 - Day 25.
Defoliation and watering.
First, I cleaned the lower part of the plant from leaves and twigs to make it easier to water and to have better air flow in the grow box.
After that I watered the plants.
In addition to the standard CalMg and Bigger Flowers, this week I also added 4 ml of Thicker Flowers which is a PK booster.
25/05/2024 - Day 28.
Photographing and measuring how much GOATlato grew in a week.
After all that I watered the plants.
GOAT'lato Auto - Day 28. - 64 cm.
That's all from me for this week. See you soon and thank you all for visiting.
Hello Diary,
GOATlato left behind the second week of flowering and as you can see in the photos, it is developing nicely.
It's true, it looks a little "hanged" in the photos, but the reason is that it was time to water but I was a little late.
But it is what it is.
GOATlato is growing really fast, 30 cm this week which is really a lot in a week.
The flowers slowly form and cover the upper parts of the branches as well as the entire cola.
I cleaned the lower part of the plant last week by removing branches and leaves and thus giving it better air flow.
Cola has risen quite high above the other branches which I would attribute to rapid growth.
If she continues like this, I will have to photograph her outside the grow box.
The leaves look healthy for now, although I noticed slight discoloration on a couple of leaves, that is, they started to fade.
I will start adding Thicker Flowers which is a PK booster starting next week.
Conditions on the Farm are not great.
During the day, the temperature sometimes rises to 31 degrees, which at the same time raises the humidity, which is sometimes as high as 60%.
I hope it won't hurt them too much, especially since the warm days are still to come.
GOATlato is now quite high and could soon be too close to the lights that I raised to the maximum.
Migro Aray 4, since it has 4 lighting units, heats up much more than the Migro 200+ that I had before, which has two lamps.
If we add to that the size of the grow box, which is not large, we arrive at this situation.
The plants are big and watering is now every other day when I give them each 2.5 liters of water.
After two days, the leaves are already hanging and the pots are light as if there is not even a drop of water.
They drink everything.
I have never had such thirsty plants before.
I continue to add CalMg and Bigger Flowers and that's what I give with every watering.
Here's what it looked like last week.
28/05/2024 - Day 31.
Watering. I prepared 7 liters of water, put 7 ml of CalMG and 3 ml of Bigger Flowers.
After that I lowered the p.H. at 6.0 and watered all three plants on the Farm with that amount.
30/05/2024 - Day 33.
Watering as two days earlier. 7 liters, CalMg and Bigger Flowers.
01/06/2024 - Day 35.
Taking pictures and measuring the height and after all that I watered the plants on the farm.
GOATlato Auto - Day 35 - 92 cm
That's all for this week, thank you all for your visit and support. See you soon.
Hello Diary,
GOATlato reached the end of the third week of flowering, a total of 42 days since the beginning of the vegetation.
As of this week, I started taking photos in front of the black background because it is too high for quality photography inside the grow box.
GOATlato is progressing ok, here and there I have a few yellow leaves so I remove them, the flowers are not that big but they are slowly getting bigger and bigger.
Although it is not very great for the third week of flowering. I'll see, it's still too early for specific forecasts.
GOATlato also slowed down in growth, this week a little more than 10 cm, which is not much compared to previous weeks.
It has reached quite a height, a bit too much for my grow box so it is now too close to the lights.
Watering was every other day this week, they ask for a lot of water, so now I'm preparing almost 9 liters of water.
I still add CalMg, 1 ml/lit and bio flowerig booster where I add two components. Bigger flowers and Thicker flowers.
The conditions in the grow box are not great. The temperature is quite high, over 30 degrees.
Summer heat plus light in a small grow box is not the best scenario for ideal conditions.
I should put a small portable air conditioner in that small room, but for now it's just wishful thinking.
The high temperature with lots of greenery and moist soil raises the humidity, which is around 50-55%.
We will see how it will affect the plants, but I am most afraid of the appearance of mold.
Here's what it looked like last week.
02/06/2024 - Day 36.
Watering. I prepared 9 liters of water, added CalMg, Bigger flowers and Thicker flowers and after that I lowered the pH to 6.0.
I watered all three plants on the Farm with that amount.
04/06/2024 - Day 38.
Watering. I repeated the same procedure as two days earlier.
06/06/2024 - Day 40.
Watering.
08/06/2024 - Day 42.
Photographing and measuring the height and after all I watered all three plants on the farm.
GOATlato Auto - Day 42. - 105 cm.
That's all for this week, see you soon.
Hello Diary,
GOATlato has reached the 49th day since the beginning of the vegetation.
The picture is taken in front of the black background because it is too high for taking photos in the grow box.
The flowers are slowly developing, especially if I compare them with Corkscrew, but I am not dissatisfied.
They cover the ends of the branches and completely fill the main cola. They are not that hard, but there is still time to finish.
Some leaves have turned a little pale, which I attribute to the proximity of the lights.
Namely, with a height of 106 cm, it is very close to the lights, which I am not happy about.
It is still watered every two days when each plant gets about 3 liters of water.
So far, this is the most frequent watering since the beginning of my Farm. They really drink a lot of water.
I still add CalMg and Bio Flowering Booster.
One of the reasons for so much watering is the high temperature inside the grow box.
Considering the high temperatures outside, it is still above 30 degrees.
The humidity, thank God, is not higher than 50%, although it would be great if it were lower, but considering everything, I am satisfied.
Here's how it looked this week.
10/06/2024 - Day 44.
Watering. I prepared 9 liters of water, added CalMg and Bio Flowering Booster and then lowered the pH. on 6.0.
With that amount I watered all three plants on the Farm.
12/06/2024 - Day 46.
Watering. I repeated the same procedure as two days earlier.
14/06/2024 - Day 48.
Watering.
15/06/2024 - Day 49.
Photo shoot for the end of the seventh week.
GOATlato Auto - Day 49. - 106 cm.
That's all for this week, see you soon.
Hello Diary,
GOATlato finished the 8th week from the beginning of the vegetation, 5 weeks from the beginning of flowering.
Although the GOATlato doesn't look like it will be ready for harvest anytime soon,
I noticed under the microscope that the first milky trichomes have started to appear.
The flowers are not as big as her Corscrew roommate, but they look nice and healthy.
They emit a very nice smell and are sticky under the fingers. And GOATlato is full of flowers.
As I described earlier, with a height of over 100 cm,
it is very close to the lights that I raised to the maximum height possible inside my grow box.
It is certainly not the best for the plant, but unfortunately I have some limitations and I do the best I know under the circumstances.
Given the small distance from the light and its maximum power, the result is that the leaves have acquired a pale yellowish color.
Maybe you should keep the lights at 80% power.
Watering is still every two days when it gets about 3 liters of water.
Just this week I added the Bio Flowering Booster and then they will stop adding supplements and nutrients.
The temperature is still high in the grow box, sometimes it can exceed 31 degrees during the day.
The humidity is about 45%, which is satisfactory.
Here's how it looked this week.
16/06/2024 - Day 50.
Watering.
I prepared 9 liters of water for all three plants inside the grow box.
I added CalMg and Bio Flowering Booster after which I lowered the p.H. on 6.0.
18/06/2024 - Day 52.
Watering.
I repeated the same procedure as two days earlier.
20/06/2024 - Day 54.
Watering.
22/06/2024 - Day 56.
Photoshoot of GOATlato for the end of the 8th week and after that I watered all three plants in my little Farm.
That's all for this week, see you soon and thank you all for the nice comments.
Hello Diary,
GOATlato finished the last week of the cycle,
the photo shoot was on the 63rd day from the beginning of the vegetation, and I harvested it two days later.
I didn't think he would be ready now, by the looks of it I would say another week or two.
But my wife is in charge of the observation and loves looking at plants under the microscope.
When I asked her to check the trichome situation, I was surprised when she said, well, it's also ready to harvest.
More than half of the trichomes were milky, so after two days, it was ready to harvest.
I thought it would be over 70 days for sure.
It's great that all three plants at the Farm were harvested at the same time,
so I didn't have to dry them in a cardboard box to protect the flowers from exposure to light.
GOATlato looks nice, the leaves are a bit pale and bell-shaped, but the reason is that it has grown over 100 cm and then it is too close to the lights,
considering that the height of the entire box is 178 cm.
The flowers are puffy, they don't have the hardness of, for example, Corkscrew, but the plant is full of flowers, so I'm ok with that.
I watered the GOATlato three days before harvest because I wanted it to use up all the water to reduce the chance of mold appearing during drying.
Sometimes when the flowers are big and packed and if there is more moisture left in the plant, it is possible that the flower becomes moldy.
Although GOATlato does not have such large flowers, it is better to be safe than sorry.
Last week, the temperature was around 30 degrees, the humidity was below 50%.
This is not ideal for drying, but when the lights are turned off, the temperature and humidity will automatically drop, so it will be just right.
Last week I did not add any nutrients or supplements, I only watered with water.
Here's what it looked like last week.
24/06/2024 - Day 58.
Watering.
I prepared 9 liters of water, for all three plants on the "Farm" and only added Lemon Kick to lower the p.H. on 6.0.
I watered all three plants on the Farm with that amount.
26/06/2024 - Day 60.
Watering. I repeated the procedure as two days earlier.
28/06/2024 - Day 62.
Last watering.
29/06/2024 - Day 63.
Photo shoot for the end of the 9th week.
01/07/2024 - Day 65.
Harvest.
Thank you to everyone who followed this trip, thank you for all the positive comments and see you soon with the final report.
Hello Diary,
I always stop when I need to write a final report.
I don't know exactly where to start so as not to repeat myself, but I will briefly write again how the whole journey went.
GOATlato was obtained by crossing Gelato 44 and Cookies in collaboration between Royal Queen Seeds and Tyson 2.0.
The planting was such that after preparing the soil, I put the seeds directly in the ground and after 4 days GOATlato sprouted.
Vegetation lasted 3 weeks while the flowering phase lasted 6 weeks.
I reaped it on the 73rd day since I put the seed in the ground. Really impressively fast.
In the end, it grew 106 cm and threw out a lot of flowers that were not too hard, rather I would say puffy but very sticky under the fingers.
After harvesting, the plant was dried upside down in the grow box and after 17 days of darkness,
it was ready for final trimming and storage in jars so that the flowers can finish their process.
And here we are at the end, looking at pictures of dried flowers and enjoying its smoke.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Smoke review:
After drying and trimming, the flowers don't even look so bad.
I thought they would be puffier, but they shrunk a bit when drying.
GOATlato has 20% THC which is quite a high percentage.
In my case, which is consumed in the form of a joint, I have to be careful not to overdo it, or it will knock me out,
and from that moment I am no more than an action.
But if I dose less, it is a great booster in my daily work that requires creativity.
As she sends waves of relaxation pulsing across the body, her aromatic chemicals target the taste buds with flavors of cookies, fruit, and earthiness.
With 87 g of dried flowers, I can be creative for quite a long time, hahahaha.
Thank you all for the kind words in the comments, support and good energy. It's great to be a part of this community. See you soon.
