Flipped the ladies a week ago and they are stretching nicely. Going to give them another week or so before I trim them up before flowering really starts.
Everything is rolling along. Plants still stretching, and filling out the tent nicely.
Mixed up my seeds and popped a All Gas OG instead of the Strawberry Cheesecake I wanted to run. Oh well, I'll try again some other run.
Another week some more white fuzzy hairs.
Things are really starting to happen.
Accidentally rubbed up against the taller plant and it left my arm smelling sweet and fruity, can't wait till they start filling out and smelling up the tent!
Maybe I didn't mix up the seeds and I did pop a Strawberry Cheesecake? The stem rub was straight gas during flip but now the small buds are getting that sweet fruity smell. We shall see.
The Cherry Punch is chugging along. Seems to be a little ahead as far as flowering, and the bud structure looks to be more round, while the SC is growing long colas. The smell is also starting to take on a fruity berry scent.
Going to topdress then tomorrow and hope they start getting a little more frosty
Both are fattening and frosting up. When the tent is opened the smell of sweet fruit hits you.
Thinking halfway to the finish line. Looks like the CP might be the first to harvest. Hopefully everything stays smooth.
Both the girls are gaining weight. Had to support more branches because of it. Good problem to have. 😁
The Cherry Punch has big calyxes and a cherry funk smell to it. It's definitely going to finish first.
The Strawberry Cheesecake is hairy as a mofo. It has that sickly sweet candy smell but it's starting to get a little cheesy. One branch was by a heater that had a light that I forgot to cover. Now that branch is a week or so behind the rest of the plant.
Everything thing is looks on track for a mid/late July harvest. Happy growing everyone!
We are coming down the home stretch.
Both are really starting to put on weight. Almost all branches need extra support. Frosting up nicely and getting those frost rails😁
Few more weeks I think. Going to feel like a month.
The SC really caught up finishing. A lot of it's hairs have turned color and its swelling and frosting up. Think it's going to come out awesome if I can hold it together a little longer.
Leaves are getting purple tinge to them and the smell is still sweet berry with a little cream.
CP seems to want to keep chunking up, and throwing out white pistils. The dense crystal shaped nugs it's grown, have the smell of cherry with funk in the background. It's also starting to get a little purple mostly on it's calyxes.
Both plants have done great and I can't wait til it's time to chop. Praying I make it.
Always the longest time of the grow. Few more weeks but feels like forever.
Both are really putting on weight. Both are also showing some color. The CP mostly on the buds, while the SC leaves and buds are changing.
By the end of the month both should be chopped and drying
Thought this would be the week but want to push for one more. Both still have white pistils shooting out and looks about 70% milky trichs the rest clear and not many amber, so I'll think I'll be fine.
Turned the light down to 60% thinking it might help it finish, don't think it'll hurt. Of course now that I'm close to chopping we have morning fog rolling in to raise my humidity. Turned up the air filter to solve it, might have to bust out the dehumidifier.
Really close and praying nothing decides to go wrong now. As you can see the buds look great.
Growing her was pretty straight forward.
The only issue I had with this strain was she seemed very sensitive to light intensity. It took awhile to dial it in correctly because the Strawberry Cheesecake wasn't having any issues with light. As you can see the buds came out with some foxtailing. Not sure if that is the normal bud structure or from the lights, but it did seem to get better when I turned down the light.
The buds came out super dense and chunky with a cherry OG smell. Frost was about average, not bad but nothing to write home about. Got them hanging in the tent and will give a smoke report in a few weeks.
Chopped and now the wait for trim jail begins. Shouldn't be to bad as I've cut back on plants, looks real manageable to me. Can't wait to give them a try!
Again another straight forward grow.
She didn't have any light issues, but she did seem to not like feedings as much as the Cherry Punch.
The bud structure is great, nice orange hairs everywhere and covered in trichs. I did grow this strain outdoors a couple years ago and will say the calyxes were a lot larger out than indoors. Has a sweet strawberry candy smell with some cheese in the background that came out more the last time after it cured.
Done with another run and got a sativa seedling ready to take their place once they are done drying. Both girls turned colors as the fade set in and look great. Can't wait to smoke this strain since I grew it outdoors and want to see the difference between the two. Also the outdoor plants harvested early because of rot.
See you in 2 weeks with the smoke report!
