day 1 - germinated 2 new, and also my first ever, autoflower seeds! they will go along with the amnesia haze to the balcony when they are ready soon so stay tuned if you want to see that beautiful green balcony soon! Both seeds got estimated lifetime of 8-9 weeks from seed to harvest if you want to belive RQS. lets see how long they will benefit the balcony in our apartment 😝😎
day 2 - both seeds started opening after under 24 hours, the hulkberry even only about 18 hours. after 24 hours of soaking in the water i gave the seeds into the jiffys and put them in my little mini germination/veg room to the amnesia girls on the heatmap. just useing it for a few hours a day to keep the soil a little warmer but not drying it out too much.
day 4 - germinated them in the afternoon around 5pm. already today the purplematic is showing around the same time of the day that she wants some sun! only 3 full days after germination start, here she comes!😊
day 6 - they both are here now! hulkberry with some really tiny cotyledons and and purplematic with some huge headstard in height! here we go!
day 1 - today i got them into their pots. i wartered the soil before i put it into the pot so the moisture is equal in every corner. also i mixed in the bio grow while doing that. from now on they both will be on the balcony only. some rainy but sunny days comeing in the next week but they will like the humidity. i also dryed some coffee grinds and put them on top of the soil. works a little bit for unwanted guests i hope.
day 5 - the past 2 days was a little rainy but the next seem to be way more rainy so we will be haveing a high humidity, thats nice. i hope i do note have to get them inside. until now it worked like that
day 7 - still a little rainy and a little cold for may/june in the past days, so thats why they are a little slow i guess. might also be an auto thing, idk
day 1 - hulkberry really takes some time to form the 2. pair of leafs. i think/hope it might just be genetics since it was always a little behind. purplematic starts to pick up more foliage!
also i added the Bio Bloom by green house feeding today so when they go flower they got all they need, since they both just take 8 weeks from seed to harvest. also wartering the soil with the enhancer today for the first time.
day 5 - had to remove some soil because of the coffee grinds. they seem to be molding and i wont use it again. temperatures drop down to just above 10 so that might be a reason for slow growth. better weather incomeing
day 7 - had a little accident with the hulkberry, now she need some support to not fall over because of her weakened stem down at the base. i hope she will be fine in a few days again
day 2 - hulkberry seems fine after the accident, but because they got on the balcony now i build them a small holder ring for strong winds also for the purplematic. also i gave them new soil on top, because i also had to remove some to prevent mold of the coffe grinds to go deeper, i think the mold should be gone now.... hopefully
still do not have to water them regulary. soil is still moist in most parts just under the surface. i think i gave them water like 2x and also when i moistured the soil before transplant.
day 5 - Purplematic currently is 22 cm and hulkberry 18 cm in height. purplematic shows first sings of flower today. they also got another small 500ml watering with some BIO enhancer
day 7 - i am really not sure how much i can get out of these 2 autoflowers but next time i will start in the end pot instead of a jiffy and also not put them outside if there is any bad weather going on. seems like this 2 things really stunted the growth of them
day 3 - hulkberry forms first pollen sac.... might play with the fire and try to get rid of it if it is the only one. not too sadisfyed with RQS automatics yet tbh. :(
day 5 - the other flowers seem to be female, as you can see on the hulkberry picture from today.
purplematic is indeed very purple
had some problems with mildew on the hulkberry and some leaf miner flys on the purplematic. had to defoliate some major leafs on the hulkberry. the purplematic did not lost as much mass
The purplematic is foxtailing rly strong :/ but i do not mind that too much, i am much more sad about the actual size of the plants. Got 2 auto hulkberry rdy for next summer. The hulkberry is stacking up in a way more sadisfying way
harvested at day 4 of the week
