Hey everyone!
Welcome to our second grow journal! We're growing the same strains as in the first journal, but this time, we plan to only top the plants. They're in 18-liter pots, and you'll be able to follow their progress here as well.
These plants are 20 days younger than the ones in the first grow, so it'll be interesting to compare their development. Stay tuned for updates!

Day 22:
Hey everyone!
Update on the second grow: the plants are looking very healthy and seem to be growing much faster than the first batch. 🌿 I feel like we've already done a lot better with these plants compared to the first grow.
What do you all think? Any thoughts or suggestions?
Day 26 (Second Grow):
Hey everyone!
Exciting news: the plants in our second grow have names now too! 🌿 This will make it easier to identify and keep track of each one, especially if they get moved around. It should also help you all follow along more easily with the pictures we post.
We've built a SCROG (Screen of Green) net for the plants in both grows. For those who don’t know, a SCROG net helps to train the plants to grow horizontally, which maximizes light exposure to all parts of the plant and promotes more even growth. We're using it to ensure all plants get plenty of light and develop a uniform canopy.
Additionally, we've placed a hygrometer among the plants to measure the humidity between the leaves. We've noticed that the humidity sometimes exceeds 70% in those areas.
We're considering whether we need more fans, an intake ventilation system, or if a dehumidifier would be a better option. We're leaning towards adding more fans to improve air circulation, but we'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to watch both grows progress!
Day 29 (Second Grow):
"Hey everyone!
Starting a new week with some exciting plans! 🌿 We've got about one more week before we transition the plants to the flowering phase.
Just to recap last week's updates for those following along:
We’ve named all the plants in both grows. This makes it easier to identify and keep track of each one, especially if they get moved around. It should also help you all follow along more easily with the pictures we post.

Day 33 (Second Grow):
"Hey everyone!
Exciting news for our second grow: we’ve added a new member to the grow tent – a praying mantis! 🦗 Her species is Timor shield mantis, and she still needs a name.
We got her to help with pest control naturally. Praying mantises are excellent predators and can help keep unwanted insects away from our plants.
Feel free to suggest a name for her! Any tips or fun facts about keeping a mantis in the grow tent are also welcome!"
Day 34 (Second Grow):
"Hey everyone!
Big update today: we’ve switched the timer to a 12/12 light cycle to initiate the flowering phase! 🌸
Our second batch of plants, just like the first, has developed well and we believe they’re ready to start blooming. This change should encourage them to shift their energy towards producing buds.
For those following along, here’s a quick recap:
We've implemented a SCROG net to manage the canopy and ensure even light distribution.
We've introduced a Timor shield mantis for natural pest control.
The plants have responded well to all adjustments and are looking healthy.
Now that the flowering phase is starting, we’re excited to see how they develop over the next few weeks. Any tips or advice for optimizing this phase? Let us know in the comments!"
Day 36 (Second Grow):
Hey everyone!
We’re starting a new week and have officially entered the flowering phase! 🌸 We switched the timer to a 12/12 light cycle, and the plants are responding beautifully, growing 5-10 cm every day.
Our SCROG net is doing a great job keeping the canopy even, ensuring all parts of the plants get enough light. The Timor shield mantis is happily patrolling the garden, providing natural pest control.
We've placed a hygrometer within the canopy to monitor humidity, which sometimes exceeds 70%. We're considering adding a dehumidifier to keep levels in check and prevent mold or mildew.
Any tips on managing rapid growth during flowering or keeping humidity levels in check? Let us know in the comments!
Day 43 (Second Grow, Flowering Phase):
Hey everyone!
We’re well into day 43 of our second grow and deep into the flowering phase. 🌸 The transition has been amazing to witness, with our plants showing significant bud development. The plants are producing beautiful, dense buds, and it’s incredible to see the daily changes and the rapid development.
We’ve been maintaining the humidity between 50-60%, but we’re keeping a close eye on it to prevent any issues. We’re considering whether to get a dehumidifier to bring it down to the ideal 40-50%. The SCROG net continues to work wonders, ensuring even light distribution and supporting the heavy buds. Our Timor shield mantis is still patrolling the garden, keeping pests at bay naturally. She’s become quite the guardian!
The plants are looking healthy and vibrant. We're excited to see how they continue to develop over the coming weeks. Any tips or advice for optimizing this stage? Let us know in the comments!
**Day 50 (Second Grow, Flowering Phase):**
Hey everyone!
It's the start of a new week, and we're now on day 50 of our second grow. The plants are looking fantastic and have filled out the tent beautifully. 🌱💚
This week, we did some lollipopping to remove the lower growth and focus the plant's energy on the top buds. This should help improve airflow and light penetration, ensuring our buds develop nicely.
The SCROG net is still working wonders, and the plants continue to stretch and fill out. However, we’ve been having some issues with humidity. With the recent rain, it’s been hovering around 60-65%, which is a bit higher than we'd like during the flowering phase.
We’re considering adding a dehumidifier to bring it down to the ideal range. Any tips or suggestions for managing humidity during this stage would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for all your support and suggestions. Any tips for the upcoming weeks are always welcome! !
Day 57 (Second Grow, Flowering Phase):
Hey everyone!
It's the start of a new week, and we're now on day 57 of our second grow. The flowering phase is progressing beautifully, with the buds getting bigger and frostier day by day. 🌸✨
We've started to see the formation of orange hairs, which is a promising sign of the buds maturing. The plants are looking healthy and vibrant, and the SCROG net is helping to keep everything well-supported and evenly exposed to light.
Humidity issues from last week are still being monitored, and we're considering adding a dehumidifier to ensure optimal conditions as we move closer to harvest.
Thanks for all your support and suggestions. Any tips for these final weeks of flowering are always welcome!
Day 64: Second Grow
We’re now in the fifth week of the flowering stage, and the buds are getting thicker by the day. We’ve decided to order a microscope to keep a closer eye on the trichome development. Additionally, we’re considering ordering CANNAZYM, a nutrient that could help our buds grow even bigger and healthier.
Here’s to another week of growth and progress!!
Day 72: Second Grow
We're starting a new week, now well into the fifth week of the flowering stage. The buds are continuing to bulk up, and the plants are thriving.
We've ordered a microscope to keep a close eye on the trichomes and ensure we harvest at the perfect time. We're also considering adding CANNAZYM to our feeding schedule to promote even bigger and healthier buds.
Here's to another week of great progress and growth!!
Day 79: Second Grow
We've decided against using additional nutrients and have completely stopped fertilizing. The light cycle has been reduced to 11 hours, and we're already starting to give them cooler water. Starting Monday, I will be watering with ice water to stress the plants further, aiming for higher yield, more terpenes, and increased frost. The adjustment to the light cycle should also help the plants ripen evenly.
The lights are hanging about 20 cm above the buds, which are getting thicker every day, soaking up the light intensely. In about a week, most of the plants should be ready for harvest. We plan to stop watering them for about 100 hours before harvest. During this period, I'll place ice cubes on the soil to shock the roots one last time.
48 hours before harvest, I will turn off the lights, giving the plants two days of darkness. After this period, the plants will be cut and hung to dry.
My first grow has been a great learning experience, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the reliable BioBizz soil and nutrients to the impressive performance of the Spider Farmer SF 1000, everything worked well together. Each component contributed to a successful harvest, and I’m excited to continue experimenting and improving my setup with new gear and techniques.💚
