Hello my friends. We are off for another outdoor grow this year. The only plant I am repeating from last year is Special Queen #1. She was fantastic last season and I am still enjoying her fruits to this day. Once again I am using homemade soil. 1/2 peat, 1/4 compost, 1/8 perlite and 1/8 worm castings. My plants will receive only cheap 10-10-10 fertilizer from my local big box store on a bi weekly schedule. Watering will be done in the early morning when possible. Auto's are in 5 gallon bags. Photo's in 10 gallon bags. I wish all who grow outdoors well this summer. Happy growing my friends!
5 of the 6 are above ground. FastBuds Strawberry Gorilla came out swinging. Living up to their name. She is very fast. Only one not to pop the surface yet is White Widow. I will give her a couple more days. Then germ another one if necessary. All is going well. Happy growing my friends!
Week 2 of veg and the Strawberry Gorilla and Fruit Spirit are flying out of the gate. Northern light auto and special #1 aren't far behind. OG Kush is struggling so far. And White Widow never popped the surface. Had good germination. Has to be a soil issue with OG and Widow. That was the last batch I mixed. Fertilized the OG to try to wake her up. Remixed the bag for Widow. Because I am germing another one right now. I will get the balance right on those 2. All is going well my friends. Happy growing!
Week 3 of veg. Strawberry Gorilla and Fruit Spirit are beautiful. Northern lights and Special 1 are doing great as well. OG Kush looks much better this week. She is coming alive and starting to fire. Seem to have fixed the soil issue with some nutes. Gonna top fruit spirit tomorrow I think. And Special 1 later this week. Will start lst on strawberry Gorilla this week. Just gonna bend the main stem over to let her get plenty of sun. Lost White widow and couldn't get another to germ. Happens. No big deal. Germing a Fast Buds random seed pack right now. And she has already sprouted. Gonna plant her tomorrow. Grow has evolved to 3 autos and 3 photos. All good. Will give me plenty of fruits for the long winter. Happy growing my friends!!
The ladies all look good this week. Topped Fruit Spirit and Special 1 this week. Will top Kush next week. ALL of the plants are doing well. I seem to have fixed my soil issue from early in the grow. OG Kush is coming on strong now. Mystery fast buds plant is up and running. Will be cool to try to match it to some pictures on the site. See if I can figure out what she is. Expecting near 100f temps next week. Will be generous with the water. And maybe some shade cloth if they start to look stressed too much. Happy growing my friends!!
Near 100F all week here. Plants are taking it well. Strawberry Gorilla and Northern Lights are well into flower now. Both stretched a lot this week. Northern lights almost doubled in size. Strawberry Gorilla packing on tbe bud sites. Fruit Spirit ia a beautiful plant. With almost blackish purple leaves and massive fan leaves. Special 1 doing her thing. Knew she would be good again this year. Topped OG Kush and she is taking it well. Mystery fast buds plant is on her way. All is going great my friends. Happy growing!!
Plants are starting to feel the heat a little bit this week. Drinking a lot. Strawberry Gorilla and Northern lights are done stretching. Strawberry Gorilla is pretty damn frosty already. Topped fruit spirit and Special 1 agin this week. Will top og kush again next week. Won't top anymore after that most likely. Mystery fast buds plant really took off last week. No idea what she is. Near 100F for almost 2 weeks at this point. Unreasonably hot. And the plants are feeling it. Have to water so much to keep them thriving that nutes are getting washed out. Changed to fertilizing late evening to try to give them a full day to take uo nutes. Strawberry Gorilla and Northern lights bulking up. Photos all look good. Last topping for og kush was last week. No more topping for this grow. Mystery fast buds plant really took off last week. Happy growing my friends.
Should I pull the yellowing leaves off? Or let them get eaten by the plants? The heat I have been dealing with this year is unreal. Hottest early summer ever in my life. And of course I am an OldMan.
Let the plant recycle what is there already, it does not go to waste then.
As 0011 said, if you give them a slight tug and they fall off, then that is the time.
Cutting them off just because they look less than perfect is pointless, they won't harm anything, but your plant will get benefits from the leaves being left on until the very end.
it's not going to be a huge difference, but better to let the plant suck it down. if it falls off with a touch, it's time. At the scale of a home garden, i doubt it is even a noticeable difference either way you choose.
You’re outside. Any deficient leaves are a breeding ground for pests and disease. The heat makes you more vulnerable.
Get rid of the lowers that don’t receive direct sun that are damaged. Monitor for pests and disease.

High heat continues here. Fertilizing late evening seems to be working best. Strawberry Gorilla is getting close. Maybe one or two more weeks for her. Northern lights really starting to bulk up now. All of the photos have recovered fine from topping. OG Kush really came a long ways from it's early issues. She is beautiful. Mystery fast buds doubled in size last week and is in flower now. Got some relief from the heat this week. High 80's to low 90's. And the plants responded. Strawberry Gorilla is about a week away from being done. No more nutes for her. She is frosty as hell. And smells amazing. Northern lights took off and bulked up a lot this week. Another RQS auto that just delivers. All 3 photos heading to pre flower. Mystery fast buds plant stacking on the bud sites. Security is Something all outside growers have to remember and prepare for.

Strawberry Gorilla is done. Yield 1.8 ounces dry. Very strong plant. Taste wil get better with curing. But hints of fruit and pine. Be careful with her.

Had a tropical storm this week. Plants needed the water bad. 3 photos well into flower now. Mystery Fast Buds is stacking on the flowers. No idea what she is. But she is even frostier than strawberry Happy growing my friends.
Photos really flowering well this week. Popping off at every bud site. Northern lights and strawberry gorilla are both very smokable. Even without curing. Mystery fast buds plant is massive. 2.2 ounces from the Mystery plant. She is stacked with frost. The buds are rock hard. The buzz is strong. Best auto I have ever grown. I wish I knew what she was so I could order more seeds. I still have some mystery seeds left and will grow one again next year. Fastbuds delivers strong and productive autos.
All 3 remaining girls are looking great. The smell is overwhelming in my yard. Fruit Spirit is an amazing plant. Stacked with buds. Special 1 is doing her thing. And og kush is stacking as well. Had temps in the high 30's last night. Been pretty cool for a week. Already seeing some red trichomes on fruit spirit. Maybe one more week for her. Special 1 is doing great clear trichs on her and og kush both. Og kush leaves are turning purple. I think they are feeling the colder weather. All should be done before the first frost here hopefully. This year's plants are smaller than last year's. But tye weather has been wild all summer. Crazy temp swings and drought conditions. Fruit spirit is getting close. All trichs cloudy. Just waiting for some more reds to show up. She is amazing. Stacked. Special 1 is so consistent. She was awesome last year and great again this year as well. Og kush is a beautiful purple color now. The few cold nights really made her a beautiful plant color wise. She has about a month left I am guessing. Should harvest fruit spirit this coming week or next. Maybe 2-3 weeks left for Special 1 and 4 or so weeks for og. All going well. Happy growing my friends!

She yielded 5.2 ounces. The buds on her are on the small side. But plenty of them. Filled 2 half gallon jars. Buzz is mid tier strong. A lot of body. Perfect all day strain. And great for pain relief.
Special 1 is the last plant standing. Harvested og kush today. Special 1 is a great plant. Two years in a row with huge rock hard nugs. She should be ready in another week or 2.
