Day 42:
Went on vacation for 3 weeks, asked a friend to take care of my plants and make pictures and videos.
He gave them feedings, did some defoliation but it is hard from a distance to guide him how to train or to defoliate.
Wow, your plants look healthy and definitely bigger than mine. Can you tell me, when you started to count the days? After germination or after the seedling came out of the soil?
Wish you good luck and a green thumb growing 🥦🍀
@Smoking_Joe_Frasier, No problem. Make sure you can hide your plants under a roof or something else from time to time when its raining alot. Rain full flush your nutrients and it will
overwater your pots. Overwatering is one of the worse things that can happen. Many problems like root-rott, growth shutdown, nutrients shortage, not able to give new feedings, will happen.
If you are not able to hide them, I would put them in the full ground next time so all rain water can escape.
@GanjaReaper,
Hey, when I saw the root tip, I planted the seed right into the coco soil. And once the seedling finally popped up, I started counting the vegetation period. That explains the size difference.
Thanks a ton for always sharing your knowledge. If you ever have some time, feel free to check out my grow diary. I always appreciate tips from a great plant whisperer.
@Smoking_Joe_Frasier, Once I see a small root comming from the germination, I count that as day 1 of germation.
I put them into the pots and after 1-3 days I start seeing a small plant but that still counts as germation to me.
After a 7 days from germation, I will start counting of vegitation.
So at the end of week 2 of vegitation, they are 3 weeks old from seed to end of week2 vegitation.
For me this is the best way to count and slowly start adding nutrients at week 1 of veg.
In the past i used to count the germination week as vegitation and often it didn't work with calculation veg/flower stages.
