My first Living Soil (Florganics) grow - with Fastbuds genetics
I planted the seeds right into soil into their final pots on the 19th of May, using a liter of Lighmixx soil for the seedling's immediate surroundings for the first two weeks. The rest is filled with half fermented Living Soil, which I try to keep moist more than I usually would with normal soil On the 23rd they all peeked through the soil, having spent 4 days to reach this milestone in their lives.
Day 13 (from sprout):
The Strawberry Banana plants are developing a bit more rapidly on the surface than the Gorilla Skittlez (back right). Interestingly and potentially due to the fabric cover, I was able to spot some big and healthy seeming Mycelium growth on the top of the soil of the Gorilla Skittlez. The structure of the big pot Strawberry Banana (in the front) is the best and her dark green is amazing to gaze upon.
Booster Feeding at the end of the week maybe. No nutrients were added so far. Running on 76 watts (40%).
Day 20 (from sprout):
The 20L pot Strawberry Banana (front right) has received some LST during the last three days, as I expect a generous stretch from her, aside from that no training was done. Visibly, we have entered the pre-flower stage and are now anticipating the coming growth spurt. Hopefully, this will hit the Gorilla Skittlez (back left) hardest, because as of now, she is very tiny and bushy. I hope there is enough time remaining to turn this into a success. I generally prefer the growth pattern of both Strawberry Banana plants and kinda wish I hadn't put one of them in a 3L container and rather done this to the Gorilla Skittlez. But of course she has plenty of time left to proove me wrong. On the other hand, this makes for an interesting comparison! Having installed a grow-cam, I hope to supply you with interesting comparisons and angles soon. Happy growing everybody!
Increased the energy from 76W to 114W on day 20 as well.
Day 21: I installed a trellis net to do some leveling of the canopy.
Day 31 (from sprout): Upon my return, I found that the plants were underwatered given they are in living soil this was especially bad. The first thing I did was to defoliate and to install a new trellis net. Sadly I was tired and couldn’t reach / see my plants well and ended up cutting off two valid branches from the gorilla skittlez
Day 36 (from sprout): The canopy is looking okay, though I am surprised that I do not see any trichomes yet. The Banana Purple Punch of my other diary that is running in the same timeline has much better trichome- and bud development.
Day 37 (from sprout): the last two days, were really hot and the humidity increased to an uncomfortable value of 60-70%. Today I tried to lower the humidity with more ventilation, keeping the tent open and reinstalling a pot cover I had previously removed from the pot in the back. Furthermore, I made sure to give the girls another intense trim.
