What a time to start LST on 3 of the plants and topping the other. I'm leaving on a five day vacation so I will have to water generously. 3 plants have thinner stems so they got the LST. I'm experimenting with the topping an autoflower. It should be warm enough to put them outside when I get back.
I accidentally snapped the stem of Plant#1 doing some LST. So I guess that one is topped as well. It is recovering nicely though. The weather is nicer now so they will be moving outside today.
I have accidentally topped another one. I have really been messing up with the LST this time. Don't bend the stalks too much or they will snap! Gentle slow bends are the key.
We are going through a heat wave so the plants have really been growing tall. No sign of flowering yet. The weather is predicting even more hot weather.
This has been quite the process growing sativas. They are so leggy and tall and the stems are not conducive to low stress training. They have already busted out through the top of the enclosure I built. I have to install some scrog netting to try and get the canopy under control. You can see in the photos I broke a couple of stems trying to train them but the repair seems to be taking hold and the plant is good.
I moved a couple of plants inside. They still have not flowered and the summer is running out. They are so tall they barely fit in the tent. Good thing I chose the shortest ones to go inside. The two plants in the tent got a 12-12 light cycle. Let's hope that kicks them into flower.
I got all four of the plants moved inside the tent. There are no more plants outside. The two plants that have been in the tent the longest are definitely in flower and I hope the other two that I just added will go into flower soon.
The two plants in the back of the tent are definitely taller because they got left outside for an additional week. The two plants in the front are flowering nicely and the back plants are making signs that they are flowering too. I did some major defoliation and the plants looked pretty lollipopped now.
Flowering nicely. Some of the lower leaves are starting to yellow and are getting defoliated. I amended with some power bloom this week and that will be the last of it.
I am just picking off the dead leaves. They are fattening up nicely. Almost time for harvest. The two at the front have started to get some cloudy trichomes. I'll wait to see some amber ones.
I didn't weigh it wet but it sure did flower quickly. I did have to finish it off in the tent as it was getting too cold outside. I think I would grow this again.
After drying and weighing I got 197g of flower. 70g of it I would consider popcorn. I will use that to make some edibles. The rest is kind of fluffy good sized bud.
