Germination

Placed the seeds between 2 wet paper towels for 48hours and then put them in the soil. All seedlings reached the surface after 2-3 days. I planned on doing only the purple haze, but after a friend visited we decided spontaniously to germinate the other 2 also, so there is an "age gap" of roughly 4-5 days. This is my first grow ever, so there's probably going to be a few mistakes and lots of learnings along the way and i am happy to sahre my journey as a new grower.

First week of growing, Plants are developing fine so far and i started to feed them nutrients and the end of the week. I'm watering when soil feels dry around 1/3 of the pot size. right now they need some water every 3-4 days. Really interesting to see how different size and shape differs even though its the same strain (talking about the purple haze, the other 2 are still really small)

Week 2 of Veg, Plants are growing nicely and are starting to drink more, soil feels already dry every 2 days and i increased the amount of nutrients they get. Special Queen and Blue cheese seem really small compared to the others, but look healthy, so no need to worry. So far no changes and lets get into the next week

Not much to say here, plants are growing nicely and overall look fine to me. i topped the bigger ones at the end of the week above the 4th node and the new branches are starting to develop. They get a little bit thirstier and drink more often and i think in the next week i'm going to put the small ones in bigger pots. So lets get into the next week :)

So far so good. Another week has passed and everything looks nice. At the beginning of this week i transplanted the blue cheese and special queen in bigger pots and they dont look so small in comparison to the others. In generell all plants recovered good from the topping and in this week i think i will start with some LST and removing some of the lower leaves. I also raised the lighting higher, because i wanted to see if they stretch themselves a little bit, because they didnt grew so much in height but only developed more leaves, but i think i will lower it again and also increase intensity. Also i added up the fertilizer since i had some yellow colering of the leaves at the bottom, and so far they show no signs of overfeeding. Since it wasn't raining like in the last 2 weeks i took them outside to make some pictures with natural light. So lets go into the next week :)

During this week i transplanted the purple haze strain in their final pot, since i needed to water them every day and figured they need more room now. also defoliated some of the lower leaves and started some LST. i think the sq#1 and blue cheese need 2 more weeks before they need a bigger pot, so lets see what happens in the next few days :)

Another week gone by and the plants are growing nicely. I had some yellow coloring of the lower leaves at the beginning of the week and so i increased the fertilizer a little bit and the plants are responding well so far. Since they are in the bigger pots i also dont need to water them every day anymore, this week i only watered them twice. I also picked some of the lower leaves which dont receive so much light anymore, topped the remaining strains and tried to bend down some of the branches with some garden wire but didnt work as good as i hoped it would. i still have a scrog-net which im going to use later, but i think the plants are still too small. in the future im going to try different techniques and materials, for now i'm not going to overthink it and just let them grow now,.

Week 7 of Veg is over and slowly it looks like the plants are filling the space of the tent. Special queen and blue cheese need bigger pots soon as leaves are hanging down in less than 2 days after watering. the purple haze need only 2 waterings in a week. Luckily i'm growing in my basement where room temperature outside of the tent doesnt go above 25° as we had a few hot days, yesterday it was 35° outside. Hopefully it stays like this and doesnt change a lot. I set up the scrog net as a visual marker, when the plants reach the hight of the net its time to switch into flowering cycles, hopefully it happens in the next 2-3 weeks :)

They grew a lot this week or so it seems to me, because i was on vacation and havent seen them the last 5 days. SQ#1 and Blue cheese are now my biggest plants Even though i germinated 1 week later and also from the other strain there was one plant that was always bigger than the Rest and now its the second smallest. So far everything was nice, no issues with nutrients, desease or bugs, every plant develops hairs and is female. I think i give them 1 more week to grow and then i‘m changing the light cycle and start the flowering Phase, really excited for that :)

Late Update: i wasnt able to Upload because of work and some wifi issues. In the last week of veg i lollipopped the plants. I Read different ways of lollipopping before flowering or some weeks into flowering and i decided i will try Both eventually to See which gives me better results or is more convenient to me. For this growth i cut before flowering and i gave them 3 days to recover before changing light cycle. So far they Look healthy and i Hope that the high humidity will sink soon when the plants are in Full flowering. Right now we are in the middle of Summer and i cant Control the humidity, lets See how it goes

First week of flowering is done and they started to stretch. Really nice to see how fast they grow now, every day i open the tent i could see the difference. So far so good, not much to say here. Hopefully the buds and the smell will change soon :)

2 weeks of flowering are over and it Looks really nice:) Only Problem is the high humifity , sometimes its over 80%, so i ordered a dehumidifier which should arrive in monday, hopefully i get below 60% and i think i will do some defoliation next week

Dehumidifier arrived last week and works really well. Since there is a heatwave in germany i had humidity levels of 80+% and now i can regulate down to 50%. Only the high Temperature Kind of Sucks. I am Glas the tent is in my basement, so it Never goes above 30 degrees but its Not ideal. Also there is another Issue now, i have bugs in my tent, probably thrips. I noticed them 3 days ago and got nem oil and ordered some other bugs (dont know how they are called in english) so they dont destroy my plants. Really annoying, but since this is my first grow ever and some of my Environment conditions are Not ideal i expected difficulties. I hoped it wouldnt be bugs, but lets See how i am able to handle Thors

So the stretch is done and they dont grow anymore in height. As far as humidity and nutrients everything is fine. Flowers look really nice. Only concern now are the thrips. I got the predatory mites and some yellow Stickers and the nem oil. I just Hope they dont completely Ruin my yield as some leaves are already falling off. Also the smell is Not as strong as i expect it to be, Not sure if thats normal or okay. I still have 4 more weeks to Go i think. I Hope for the best

Nothing much to say here. Thrips are leaving their marks and i tried everything but i think i noticed them too Late and i Hope they dont ruin my yield completely. Leafs are yellowing and falling down, but buds Look nice and are growing so i stay positive. I Hope i can give them at least 2 more weeks. Originally, i Planned 4 more weeks until harvest nur we will see

I think my First grow ever is almost finished, the last 2 weeks i only gave them water and no nutrients anymore. I removed all the dead Leaves the thrips sucked dry and there were almost no leaves left😅. Overall, Trichomes look good in my opinion, just on one plant there are still a lot of clear ones, while another has a lot of amber ones already. Next time i will only grow one strain. I am planning on harvesting this weekend and will post an update when the yield is dried and cured.

I am finished up with trimming ( took me and a friend around 4h) and this are my final results. My total dry yield is 210.8g 4x purple haze 132.5g 1x Special queen#1 41.5g 1x Blue Cheese 36.8g According to the new law every grown up is allowed to have 50g. There are 4 grown ups in my House so i have to get rid of everything above 200g. I didnt expect it to be this much. I had tons of really small popcorn buds which ended up in my trim (also around 100g) and i only kept the bigger ones. I will use the trim to make Butter and maybe some hash. So far for the strains: All of them were really easy to grow and i hadn't any issues except for the thrips in the end. I was fascinated about the different pheno types of the purple haze, one had so many pistols and looks more like and orangebud kind of strain where others were really blue and just different in shape and look and even smell, i am actually not sure if there might have been a mistake in packaging and i ended up with some other strain, because some smell really fruity and typically hazy whereas one strain had a strong earthy and diesel-type smell. The blue cheese didnt dissapoint at all, it grew really nice, was really resistant to the pests and buds look really amazing, came out all reletavly big and dense and they smell so good and really have this blueberry touch to them. Special Queen #1 was also easy and resistant. I liked about this strain that it wasnt so compact and the space between buds was huge, which made it really nice to trim. one thing i did not like about this strain is that the buds came out really fluffy and not so dense, but i still have some seeds left and it was just one plant, i am defenitly growing this type again and will apply some changes and see how it turns out. Overall, for my very first grow i am reeeeally happy and satisfied, did not think i would get this much yield and when i am done with curing i cant wait to test them all. I did try one of the smaller and really dry buds and vaped some and i tasted really great and i was so high, but i dont know from which strain it was. I think in the next 2-4 weeks i will start the next grow and i am really excited for that! :)
