Fat Kids Cake in eco life soil . Just add water :)
Had two Fat Kids Cake and a Peanut Butter Cookie just laying around so decided to get them going. Started from seed in cotton pads , straight into Eco Life Soil . Never used this soil before and heard good things so let the journey commence
One of the Fat Kids is not so fat , could of thrown it away but im not a hater , lets see if it comes along . Really happy with my choice of soil and its so easy to just de chlorinate your water and feed away
Topped a few branches and defoliated slightly . Considering ive not done this for around ten years now , the Tenants are looking healthy and happy . Another week of Veg would not harm them but i have other cultivars ready to get going with so flipping to 12/12 today . From the stem rub on these , they are smelling devine. Wish me luck
Trying to keep the humidity to 50% is a task right now . Swapped up the fan and carbon filter for a Spider Farmer 6 inch complete kit as the budget one from Growell was immensely loud . Serves me right for going for a deal on 4/20 weekend . Never go too cheap on vital equipment
Anyway , first week of flower done , the runt is trying its best lol , the other two are doing great . Although the Peanut Butter cookie is now the daddy of the bunch . Looking forward to the flowering fun
Managed to grab a dehumidifier for 30 notes from a local retailer . Taken it down to 44 from high 50’s . Every little helps :)
Steady week , bit of defoliation to try and get some light to the bottoms too . Using a 300 watt phlizon which is a great light but not the largest of coverage . De humid working nicely which for the price is a very good thing
Buds increasing in size . Humidity and temp at a good level .
Added a couple tablespoon of Eco Thrive Life Cycle to each plant , just a small boost to the soil in case of any loss of nutrients. I’m first timer in using this soil so will keep an eye on them the next few days . Funnily enough , a day after applying it , the plants look to be thriving better than ever . I doubt it works that quick but we’ll see
Got rid of the small runt , just wasn’t progressing and taking up light . These two girls have thrived and I’m pleased with this weeks growth .
Fat girls cake showing the orange hairs already on some buds . A pretty little lady if i do say so .
Bit of an experiment and how to further this one for me so I’ll be doing a mass chop of the fan leaves at end of week 5 , see how that works out
Wow the weather was mad this week , so hot and humid . Thankfully cooled down by Friday and hopefully will stay this way for the next few vital weeks . Would love to hit 30% RH by the last couple weeks if possible .
Buds all forming nicely . It’s been a learning process keeping the eco soil at a moist level as they state you should . Think I’m on top of it now .
Ive been told the smoke is of good quality using this soil so very much looking forward to it .
Weather has cooled down perfectly this week . Got a new clip fan in from @SpiderFarm , my old fan was way too noisy and was in need of an upgrade .
Trichomes and smells coming along very nicely . These last three weeks or so should some nice stacking of the bud sites fingers crossed
The time has come to get the trimming scissors out . Had them in darkness for the last two days . They’ve done well considering I just went with the water method all the way throughout except for one small top feed of life cycle towards the end .
Have five different strains already in third week of veg that I will continue to use the same Ecothrive living soil with but will add all their extra top ups such as charge , life cycle and the other one escapes me at this time . See if that makes a difference .
These plants have been so healthy all the way through , even a mini heat wave of sorts couldn’t stop them .
Trim , dry and taste test next
