I've got another grow going but I wanted to start this freebie seed just for fun and learning since it's a photoperiod and the others are autos. Also this has higher THC which is interesting...
I'm going to experiment with this plant and try some techniques out to learn. I topped this plant after it had about 6 nodes and it's looking good. I will probably try LST as well when it's gets a little bigger and maybe top again.
We had a major heat wave this week but the plant keeps going strong. I think I will experiment with some LST soon and try to keep this plant short and bushy.
I topped the two branches that came up from the first topping and another 4 grew up already. Since this is a photoperiod I expect it to keep vegging for months so I'm trying to control it a little. It's super healthy looking so I'm happy.
This girl is quite the bush already after topping it twice. I think the fertilizer that was in the soil is probably exhausted so I'm going to start adding Grow Big from Fox Farm this week. The leaves look a little light so might be nitrogen starved. I'm a little worried about how huge this plant is already and she isn't showing any flowering yet. It might outgrow my greenhouse...
This plant reached the roof again and is very bushy and is taking over my tiny greenhouse. I have 4 plants that are close to harvest and I moved two strawberry plants out to give it room. I've topped it a couple times but it's not enough, I need you do some things to slow it down or it will be too big for the greenhouse. It's looking super healthy and the ladybugs I added to take care of the mites are doing a good job.
This plant has me worried! It's doing fantastic but I think it's going to outgrow my small greenhouse. I've topped it several times but it's huge and the flowering stretch is starting. My other girls are about a week away from harvest so I will rearrange things after that. My tomatoes and peppers also are gigantic so it's just too crowded.
It's flowering and growing like mad. I'm defoliating aggressively. I've harvested the 4 plants from my first grow so I'll be able to rearrange my greenhouse now for more ventilation for the plant.
I may be a week behind on this journal as I've been super busy and traveling. My solar watering system keep it alive and it's thriving. After the bud rot I had on my last grow I'm being really careful too make sure there is no crowding and there is lots of space for airflow for this plant. There is still a mite issue but there are ladybugs working to keep it in check. I'm not worried about it but it's not ideal. The flower is looking good and I'm in no rush on this one so just staying the course.
She's still doing great and the buds are filling out nicely. I still have spider mites and still have ladybugs trying to fend them off. I'm not sure how much I should worry about the mites at this point, the plant is ok and developing and it seems like it's not getting worse. I don't want to treat it with insecticide but I may have to do something.
Still cruising along. The mites did a real number on the leaves, and there are very few ladybugs remaining. I think I'm going to spray with citric acid, I don't know what else to do this late in flower.
Since I also started to grow photos this year, I agree that they look much healthier than a lot of auto grows (except for the F1 and Stress Killer). I will probably not go back to autos in the next run (except for F1). For the first try, I wanted simplicity and speed, but I still have enough tincture, oil and flowers so I am in no hurry :-)
@Sejanus21, I agree with you, I think if I keep growing I will do photos and clone. I love the idea of having a simple perpetual harvest going. I will switch to an indoor tent for that.
You can try neem-oil. However, you should not do it in the last three weeks berfore harvest. My Special Queen #1 was full of pests at harvest, most of them dead. I removed everything by washing the branches after cutting them.
