LoccoMotive My very first grow ever.
Our tent is now officially up and running for our very first grow.
Resting pulse around 110 😄
Quick setup details:
1x1x2m Growlab grow tent
EC fan 680m³/h 150mm with temperature and humidity controller
6L humidifier, ultrasonic humidifier Smart
200w LED from Growlightsystems TentyProX4
30 cm 150mm activated carbon filter
4x 12l fabric pots
The seeds are from Sweetseeds,
2x Honey Peach Auto CBD
2x +Speed Auto
We're working with a lower 2cm drainage layer of clay granulate.
Above that, half with Floragard Professional Growmix (strongly pre-fertilized)
And the upper half with Floragard Chili soil (lightly pre-fertilized)
The setup is shared with my brother, hence the 4 plants.
Wish us luck for our first grow^^
Tips and advice are welcome.
The Grow Must Go On
LoccoMotive Continuing without problems.
My brother's two plants have started to smell strongly now.
That's why we finally installed the activated carbon filter.

LoccoMotive Big defoliation so that more light gets to the more important leaves. And for more space for these. This noticeably stressed the ladies. But they recovered well after about 1-2 days. In hindsight, this was urgently needed as this strain grows very small and bushy, and the large leaves were shading and constricting all the lower shoots.

LoccoMotive I've now trained Plant A a bit to get it on the right track.
I only trained Plant B in two spots a little.
The training at the beginning of the week has paid off very well.
Everything is growing where I envisioned it.
Without defoliation, it probably wouldn't have worked out well in this form.
Since week 4, I've been watering about 3L per plant with 5ml of Hesi Bloom Complex per liter every 3 days or so.
I'm trying to water as gently as possible, 2L from the top and 1L from the bottom.

LoccoMotive Since the beginning of the week, I've been additionally watering with "HESI Phosphor Plus" as an extra flowering nutrient.
I have a strong urge to lollipop the two ladies.
But many say that with autos, it just leads to too much stress.
Otherwise, all 4 plants are developing very well and without problems.
When you open the tent, it already smells strong, but when I smell directly at my plants, it doesn't really have much of a scent.
The stretch is now almost over, and they have still reached a respectable height of about 45cm.

LoccoMotive On day 43 and day 48, both plants were generously defoliated again.
Many people say "Don't do that" and many others say "I would definitely do it."
Especially with the two +Speed Autos, which grow very small and bushy, I thought this was beneficial.
This way, I could increase the light for the important buds and also prevent mold.
I was able to remove many LST strings already, and everything is growing pretty much as desired.
I'm a bit worried about the light tips of the leaves on the taller plant.
Otherwise, all 4 plants are developing without any further issues.

LoccoMotive At the beginning of the week, the yellow leaf tips were getting worse.
I sought advice regarding this to identify the problem.
I narrowed it down to 3 causes: too much light, deficiency, or overdose.
And we concluded that it must be a nutrient overdose.
For this reason, I've already watered twice this week without fertilizer.
Hoping that the nutrient concentration in the substrate decreases.
In the coming days, I will water again enough so that it runs out from the bottom.
Despite this, the flowers are developing excellently on all 4 plants.
They have also recovered very well from defoliation and are looking great.
I think in about 2 weeks it will be time to harvest.

Ansonsten weiter ohne Probleme.

LoccoMotive Waiting another week was definitely the right decision. The buds have really gained some firmness and resin production.
Whether the discolorations were ultimately the natural end of the plant or if it was something else, I can't say for sure.
I'm also not sure if the buds might have looked even better if some kind of deficiency or something was the cause of the discolorations.
The buds look good to very good in my opinion. I'm definitely really satisfied with our very first grow ever.
That's why we're going to harvest the plants next weekend for sure. So it will be almost 11 weeks instead of the advertised 7 weeks.
Unfortunately, I can't really estimate how much yield we'll end up with. My gut tells me something between 20-30g yield per plant.

Well, with 20-30g per plant, I may have overestimated a bit.
It turned out to be exactly 62g per plant in dry yield.
Unfortunately, I forgot to check the wet weight after the harvest.
Overall, our very first grow went pretty well, in my opinion.
With 124g of dry yield, that's definitely something to be proud of. I'm super happy.
Then there's my brother's grow.
He ended up with a bit less, but still a good 110g.
That gives us a good to very good gram per watt ratio of 1.17 g/W.
With 4 plants, if I understood that correctly.
And if I only calculated my 2 plants on half a square meter with half the lamp power of 100w,
I would have an even better ratio of a very good 1.24 g/W.
On top of that, we have a decent amount of trim from both strains with plenty of trichome-rich sugar leaves.
The grow actually went very, very chill for us. Only the weather was our enemy.
So far, we've had a rather unfavorable, changeable summer.
At times up to 33° and 85% humidity during drying.
Then again, there were days or nights when it dropped back down to 22°.
In the GroveBags, the hygrometers still show about 53% after 2 days.
That means we could never keep the conditions optimal, and it's a bit too dry.
Thank God we didn't have any problems with mold or pests.
Both strains are already great to smoke in a joint or bong.
It's neither harsh nor does it taste weird. On the contrary.
Let's see how it looks after curing.
Regarding my brother's Honey Peach Auto CBD:
My brother didn't do any training at all, just a lot of defoliation.
The two plants differed quite a bit.
But both produced very fluffy buds.
The effect is rather mild and allows you to be productive and creative without getting super high.
Now after drying, it has a more earthy taste with a few fruity notes.
As for my +Speed Auto:
I only applied LST and defoliated several times.
Aside from one of them being a bit bigger, both developed quite similarly.
The buds on both plants are very homogeneous and consistently good, whether head bud or not.
The effect is very balanced and strong enough to stay high for hours without taking off.
The smell is quite intense, very lemony with an earthy finish.
----Update after curing----
After the yield cured for 2 weeks in the GroveBags, they have indeed become a bit "rockier" as expected.
It smells just like on harvest day and fills the whole room. Also rather classic in scent.
The high is strong and very balanced for body and mind, without taking off or going down.
My head buds may not be the biggest, but compared to others, I'm sure there are many who had less luck.
If you're looking for a short, high-yielding, robust, and relatively fast-growing genetics, you're in the right place.

You can really see what a huge difference the right soil makes... Greetings from next door, I'm a week behind you! Compared to yours, my ladies are pretty puny because of completely the wrong soil. XD Wishing you continued success!
@Sweet_Seeds,
I thank you too.
Thanks for the smooth handling of our order.
And many thanks for the extra seeds as a gift. And the little other gifts.
Something like that is remembered.
We are not tired of recommending Sweetetseeds to all of our friends.
