Just started growing and this is my first outdoor plant. Check out my Ethos Pluto Cut indoor grow diary. Ethos sent these with my order for free so I figured I may as well start an outdoor grow as well. Seeds have been in shot glass for 12 hours now. Will post update once they are in their Jiffy pellet.
Update: 24 hours after shot glass both seeds opened, moved to Jiffy pellets. Once soil arrives tomorrow Jiffy pellets are going in 5 gallon fabric bags with a 50/50 mix of Fox Farms Ocean Forest and Happy Frog soils. Right now the Jiffy tray is in my tent covered with paper towels to block light and lid opened a little bit.
5/31
One seed popped through the other looks like it's coming out.
6/1 both seeds are popped now and planted in 5 gallon fabric pots. Soil mix is 70% of 50/50 Fox Farms Ocean Forest and happy frog with 30% perlite. Moved outside in the shade to get a little bit of sun. Watered lightly around a humidity dome made from an empty water bottle cut in half.
Any advice for critique for a new grower is extremely welcome. Thank you.
@resi_max, thank you! I see you grow outdoors. I just sprouted 2 autoflowers in peat pellets and planted in 5 gal fabric pots with 70% of 50/50 Fox Farms Ocean Forest and Happy Frog and 30% perlite. Just move the plants outside in a lightly shaded area with a humidity dome and watered about a cup and a half around it. Is that adequate water starting out or should I soak the pot?
