The second week has been interesting. I noticed roots coming out on day 9 from seed. I decided to transplant early into 1 gal fabric pots. Not sure if it was a great idea since I wasn't really set up well to handle the temp and humidity. As a result there was a bit of fluctuation in temp(20c-26c) and humidity(60-80%). It wasn't until the last day of the week I noticed something strange... Some notes: -Fed twice. -Noticed some faint yellow spots on one of the leaves on day 13, added some pro-cal on day 14. -Temp/hum stayed very steady during day 12-16, 23c and 70%. I believe that's when I seen the best growth.

Wondering when to add nutrients in coco? I heard after 3rd set of leaves. Some people say after 1st set. I use reverse osmosis with a mineralization filter although I have no idea what minerals are in there. My EC meter did not work when I received it.

My best advice for you is that you go out and get yourself a PH reader. You don't really need a EC/PPM meter if you are using R.O water because R.O water's PPM is like next to 0 . When you start your feeding which you should soon after that tiny second set develops I would start them at 1/4 strength this way you can judge your plants reaction to the nutrient solution and make adjustments as needed , I see your using green planet's line up . If this is the case you can be using root builder and Ocean magic from them right now . Both of these products help with root building as well as nutrient uptake leading into faster and more robust growth . I might also recommend that when its time you start using nutrients that you add CalMg to that solution this way you can prevent the yellowing of the veins in the plant as well as the purpling or all the little stems . The idea is only to really start using nutrients when you see your plant suffering from the start of deficiency's , you're medium should have a base of 1-1-1 which is plenty for the first 2 to 3 weeks even . The main thing you want to remember when they are young like this is not to over water them because when they are young it's really easy to do so . At this stage of their life's less is more . As they get older you can start to up the dosages of your nutrient solution to more appropriate strength . You may also consider wanting to avoid watering them with nutrients every time . This will do 2 things for you a) ensure your plants use up most of the nutrients in the medium before you add new ones in and b) will prevent the soil from getting "hot" and burning your roots leading to what we see as nutrient burn. In between nutrient feedings you wanna feed with PH corrected water so that your plant don't suffer from any stresses or un wanted stunts in growth as well as get any sort of nutrient lock outs which can lead to problems such as nutrient burns . Over all your plants are looking really good and off to a nice start they are a nice colour of green and they aren't stretched to a mile long . I hope this information helps you to understand better when to start using nutrient solutions and how to start them off to dial them in according to your plants needs ! -Happy Growing!

My seedling has grown three nodes so far. Why does my plant only have one fan leaf with 3 leaves on the second node, and two fan leaves with 3 leaves on the third node? Shouldn't both the leaves on the second node have 3 leaves and both the leaves on the third node have 5 leaves

Hello ! After a quick look yes your 2nd node should have 2 leaves of 3 fingers but the 3rnd node is not forced to have 5 fingers leaves , at the end most of your leaves will be 5 or 7 finger leaves but let the plant the time to build it structure. The 2nd node is not an issue with 2 different leaves finger count because as you can see your 3rd node is normal. I hope it will help you 😁👍

hey man the main way you can explain the number of fingers is genetics and stress. My plant randomly grew three fingered leaves all it's life because it was under a lot of stress... but yours looks fine stress wise, therefore this is a genetic issue. And these things happen, nothing you can do really, except "grow it out" and wait and see. I'm fairly confident the seedling will be able to pull through and produce a decent young vegetative plant; but clearly growth is about one node slower than you want at this stage, that's why it's stressful. Anyway hope you decide to keep the little thing, if you believe in it, probably it will benefit from that and grow big and strong ! good luck 🚀

Thanks! Now to think of it, right before the second node came in I did a transplant. Prob too early for that but that would've probably stressed it at that time. I'm starting to think I may be wasting my time with this bagseed. I REALLY don't want any males here lol.

Autoflowering strains can grow with only 3 fingers leaves , it happens often with ruderalis. But you are growing a photoperiodic strains so your leaves will have 5 fingers soon 😁
