Aaaaand we survived another week 🙏.
In general I'm very happy with the progress of these little ladies. Wedding Cake seems to be the best grower by far. She takes anything I throw at her with ease and it makes me happy how effortless the grow has been until now.
The week began with me lowering the lights once more, just to see if they would be able to take the increased light intensity. So far only the Wedding Cake has developed a touch of white tips, but for now I don't mind that.
For some unexplainable reason the Watermelon fell over, so I used a toothpick to prop her up again.
I repotted all of them on this wednesday into 2.25L pots and added some Mycorrhiza fungi. This happened earlier than I wanted, because I was gone Fri - Sun and I feared that the small pots wouldn't be able to keep enough water for them.
It was the perfect timing for the Wedding Cake, the roots were just about to wrap around the bottom of the old pot, for the other two it was a little bit early and the root-ball was starting to fall apart when I removed the pot. I believe that stressed them out quite a bit, but since I never noticed any signs of malnutrition it should be alright.
To remedy the repotting I added Root Complex to my water.
Now on Sunday Wedding Cakes roots are already showing at the bottom. She really is sprinting ahead👽, but this time I will wait for a couple of days before repotting. I would prefer it, if I could delay the final repotting until the other two have caught up in their growth.
This week I started noticing a light smell of haze coming from Wedding Cake, which definately increased the frequency of my visits to the growtent 😋.
Have a green week and stay healthy 🙏🙏
