do you want to use a scrog? if yes, then sure. scrogs are great for support - eventualyl you get a floppy plant and this mitigates that chance. they are also great for controlling height while you fill in the space. I only have 80" and 12" in the platform, 11" of pot height, 18" distance between canopy and light and 7" of headroom above the lights for airflow and heat dissipation. I've got 32" and most of that is earmarked for a 18-24" vertical zone of buds. If i didn't have height restrictions, i'd probably use a trellis higher up on the plant only for support - again, you get a floppy plant at some point and this makes it easier to spread things out with little to no stress. But, it wouldn't be used for any heavy training at all. Context, context, context... just make it work. Don't overthink it or make it complicated.

if you have access to at least 3 sides of grow area/ square, then maybe yes, but if you limited , then better think about LST, fat garden wires and almost daily care, while tucking leaves, adjusting ties and planing were each branch will end up and how wide you plant will be. i tried scrog recently after many years and had huge problems working with canopy, only because i had front access.
