I am a complete noob. Didn't add any nutrients until some time around 2nd or 3rd week of flowering. I write "some time around" because I didn't know she was flowring. I had noticed she was forming little pointy white pistils but still assumed tha tfloweiring wouldn't be until actual buds were forming.
She seemed to be doing just fine except some older fan leaves showing yellow bettween the veins.
Added a shot of universal 4 mL/L NPK 6/2.5/4 with additinal Cu, Fe, Mo, Mn and Zn additives. Why? you ask. Because I'm a noob who didn't realise the plant was flowering.
Adding Canna P/K 13/14 1mL/L and abour 1mL of BOOM Candy for the fun of it.
Began monitoring pH from pot run-off, which was creeping above 7. Controlling the nute solution pH with a little bit of citric acid.
Now forming actual buds with lots of pistils appearing. I am absolutely loving this and a big thanks to this community for reminding me to control pH. I have a feeling this will help her make it through the coming weeks under my well meant but possibly not completely competent caretaking.
Adding only Canna 13/14 PK this week.
Any advice is welcome.
Edit: I found that the NPK nutrient I added last week has likely caused a light Nitrogen toxication. Smaller leaves mid-plant turn dark green snd are clawing a bit. New photo added. Not worrying about this, it is not a lot. I apologised to the plant and she seems to have forgiven me.
I have started lowering night time temperature by about 4K, going for around 22°C during day and 19° during night time. Also, I will now go to an 18/6 lighting cycle and aim for air RH of around 55% around the plant.
Last week ended with what I have interpreted as an overfeeding of nutrients. pH in the runoff water was above 7. This week starts with a little flushing before going back to adding nutrients. Will be dropping the Boom Candy nutrient from here on out.
Also, I need to get my automated watering system calibrated before going on vacation a week from now.
Girls home alone with automated drip watering solution of P/K 13/14, GRAMS, A bit of epsom salt and a couple of dissolved multivitamin pills (human consumption style). Solution pH'ed to around 7.
At this point my assumption was that I may have been setting pH too low, leading to lockout of cal and mag, based on leaf symptoms.
Poor girl - coming back from holiday I found that a power-outage (supposedly) had caused a reset of my watering pump to default parameter settings, resulting in much too low water amounts. Lower buds are foxtailing.
Still on automated watering. Solution has above mentioned nutrients, plus a bit of epsom salt. pH of around or just below 7.
Edit W13D5: Foxtailing seems to have stopped. That was quite easy to fix. I might harvest the main colas some day next week.
