This is my first attempt in growing seeds from a known seedbank and I decided to try Seedsmans Lemon Auto. With it came two promo packs of Gelato OG Auto.
While I had no luck with the Lemon Auto seeds, the one Gelato OG Auto I tried literally exploded in a glas of lukewarm water within 4 hours.
So this is now a Gelato OG Auto diary...
The seed was then planted into a broken 12l plastic pot in "420 plant soil" from the local hardware store as base and "Bonsai Seedling" soil as a plug. No detailed information about the composition is available.
I try to use as much natural energy as possible and so this is kind of a mixed indoor/outdoor grow with sunlight and LED grow light.
She had a nice start and is growing well.
Sunny start into the week. Removed some leaves.

Used some anodized aluminium bonsai wires to even out the canopy and give lower branches more light. Also it will help to support the branches when they get heavier.
This technique gives lots of control and you can bend each branch in almost every form you like without over stressing any part of the branch too much.
- Be gentle when bending and always use both hands on the wire , not the plant, to avoid breaking off branches
- Have to be super careful with these wires. Their ends are very sharp!
- Leave some room for branches to get thicker
- Be strategic with the wire to not get in the way of bud sites
- Use two branches that are opposed to each other for mor stability and to not stress the stem
She's still getting taller every day.
Budsites everywhere.

She stretched another 6cm over night 😯
While other plants in my house have a big problem with thrips, this girl doesn't seem to bother much or the thrips don't like her as much. She has way less damage than any other plant. Might still go searching for some ladybugs just in case.
21.6.
This night it was only 1cm more. Maybe it was her last huge stretch yesterday.
23.6. Trichomes production ramping up.
Summer is finally here and I hope she likes feasting on those sweet, sweet sunbeams.
☀️
28.6. Seems to be done with stretching.
1.7.
Cooled down a lot. Now 18°C outside. I keep her inside the house to be safe.
Buds getting bigger and the smell is getting better and better. 😃
4.7.
Have to cut the nutrients a bit. Leaf tips getting burnt.
Runoff at 1900ppm
5.7.
Supported the branches with hemp cord. She's now a bit more compact and the buds on the lower branches are now closer to the light source.
Buds are extremely sticky now.
9.7.
Smell changed from a mix of orange and maracuja to a whole multi vitamin juice kind of flavor over night.
Under the loupe I can spot the odd amberish trichome, maybe by mishandling , but most are milky or clear, still producing more fresh ones.
12.7.
A bunch of trichomes developing an amber hue.
Also the leaves are turning yellow now.
Harvest Window is open now, wanna see some more amber, but not too much. Mainly hoping for thicker buds.
So a freak accident happened where a sideboard in the growroom collapsed and broke the plant.
Wanted to let her bloom just a week mire, but it is what it is, so I'm harvesting now.
