Planties had a rather slow start due to the weather being rather cold and cloudy.
If it isn’t raining, I’m bottom watering with the AC Infinity irrigation base.
Soil is regular tomato soil with vermiculite and a fistful composted horse dung.
Another very wet and rather cool week behind us. Size is 15 cm now and no signs of preflowers yet. All three plants look the same. As a week of heat and sun lies before us, I’m looking forward to see some more growth.
The last days were really warm and sunny and the plants were happy. They made a huge jump in growth. Size is now 27 cm and lots of sidebranches are evolving, giving them a bushier appearance. A very slight smell is observable but no signs of preflowers yet.
Another rather cool and cloudy week lies behind us. Planties are doing well. Estefania and Emma entered their flowering stage while Janice lags a few days behind. From now on, they will be getting additional nutrients once a week, a regular organic bloom fertilizer.
All three plants are now flowering. They made another growth jump and have a faint heavy and sweet smell. No signs of mold yet although the past week was rather wet and cloudy, once again. I‘m hoping for the best.
With sunny and hot days coming up, the girls enjoy their sunbath. They‘re now all about 60cm tall and full of flowers. The smell is a kinda heavy-sweet, not overwhelming but quite beguiling. While the initial grow was very christmas-shapey, they‘re now getting more bushy, developing flowerladen side branches.
Buds are getting thicker, smell is getting more intense. With the official 70 days from germination now over, we‘re slowly moving towards the finish line.
Playing the waiting game. First fan leaves are slowly turning yellow, the majority of trichomes looks cloudy already. I‘ll give them some more time to mature.
Today is day 90 since germination. Trichomes are mostly cloudy, mixed with a few clear and a few brown ones. The large fan leaves have turned yellow. The plants are now drinking a lot less. The next couple of days will be warm and dry. I give them a few more days to mature and then, we‘ll harvest.
The ladies gone to harvest. Wet trim yielded 143g, 211g and 180g respectively, in total 534g. They‘re now lotus drying at 7 deg C in a no-frost fridge.
I will update the review once they‘re dried, cured and tested. So far I‘m super pleased with the results of my first grow ever. Easy to grow, no problems with pests or mold, and a wonderful strong and sweet fruity-gassy smell.
