Hey guys, got some problems in my tent. It's end of week four, day 13 of bloom and one plant has some signs of deficiencies, or maybe nutrient burn? I appreciate any help thanks โ™ฅ๏ธ

Hey, Your leaves are very dark, have some dead spots and burned edges. Its a nuteburn. I would feed 2/3 of the recommended amount on every watering. Dont worry too much its a slight symptom and wont effect your growth. Happy Growing and weekend

Thank you very much for your quick response! I used the bio bloom by greenhouse feeding. It's a powder which you put on top of the soil. And then you just add water. How can I prevent it now to stop burning my plans since it is now in the medium?

Then the effect is probably already in a good range. Had a slight overreaction, but probably balanced now. The damages appear with a slight delay For next time use less powder and more frequently id say. But definetly less. Good luck, with my experience i can tell you that you shouldnt worry too much. That you aware of it and control it will be enough, lay back and enjoy the growing๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š

i had one cola get a bit taller and started to get bleached. I put one of those mesh bags for supermarket produce or to put around outdoor plants during a frost etc... it attenuated the light for that 1 cola and still allowed proper airflow to it. I did remove it before lights out, but probably didn't have to because it did allow airflow, but still reduced airflow, so it was just to be safe. Anyway, something like this allos you to protect an oddball cola that's too tall without sacrificing light to the rest of the canopy. If you deduce that it is light related....

is that cola taller than the rest? if so might be light-related. Just burning through nutes faster than it can handle, if so. Seems like it's mostly localized to that one cola, too. Some minor tip burn elsewhere. If anything looks slightly overfed elsewhere across canopy. if in soilless/hydro this is easy to figure out and much more of a guessing game in soil.

Hello Gerbst, Yes, I can see some nutrient burning and some nutrient lockouts. My advice would be to flush with the pot volume in water. Because you want to flush out the nutrient salts that have been building up inside your soil. Because of these nutrient salts the pH and EC are out of range inside the soil. So you want to use a nutrient solution with pH 6.5 and 50% from the nutrients that you are using now. Let the top 2 inches (5 cm) from the soil dry out completely before watering again. After you have done this you can continue feeding like you did but 75% from the previous given nutrient will be enough. And always give till 20% runoff to prevent nutrient salts building up again. Happy Growing Buddy!

Hello Gerbst, There are only 2 reasons for defoliation. The first one is when leaves are blocking airflow. When they are stacked on eachother then there will be moist in between. You want to prevent this because it can cause mold and other issues. The second reason is when a large leaf blocks the light for a huge part of the plant below. Next the those 2 reasons defoliation will only decrease yield. So take a good look at your plants inside your grow room and ask yoursel these questions. Is there enough airflow in between the leaves? Does a leaf block the light for a huge part of the plant? Of yes you need to solve this by defoliation. If no then happy growing! ๐Ÿ’š

If you want to reduce co2 intake and photosnythesis, sure.. i.e. no, don't do that. Read "to defolialte or no..." on cocoforcannabis.com to rid yourself of any urban myths related to defoliation. the producets of photosynthesis are ever present throughout the phloem. Distribution is based upon apical dominance and not where the light hits the plant. ATP et al is highly mobile.

Your plants look great! The defoliation you did seems fine. It doesn't look like any big fan leaves are blocking important areas. Keep an eye on them, but I think you're good to go.
