Connoisseur level organic Cannabis starts before germination of the seed. A high quality worm casting is almost essential in achieving the required results. Well made worm castings will provide plants with a complete nutrient buffet, allowing cultivars to express themselves throughout the growth cycle. Full of beneficial microorganisms, working to break down dry amendments added in the soil.
The Seedbanks selected, in my opinion are the best in the business; Dutch Passion and Mephisto Genetics. Two Strains with similar lineage (Broad leaf Kush), Size and flowering times create uniformity within my small grow space. Blackberry Kush and Samsquanch OG will 1V1 in a battle of old school vs new school Kushy goodness. Both strains have unique properties making them special.
Organic Cannabis requires a well balanced soil mix. The base used is BioBizz light mix, Wormcastings, Biochar and various dry amendments/minerals. Extra Aeration in the form of pumice and buckwheat hulls. The mix tailored to the specific cultivars. In my short growing career I've discovered the Kush variety's intolerant of nitrogen, with a hunger for calcium and magnesium. This mix has been developed over 3 years using due diligence and research culminating in a end product fragrant and sticky.
Seeds germinated by a 16 hour soak in plain water, followed by direct sowing into final pots (10gal). Humidity domes will be used for 3 days with a 24hr light schedule the first week. My aim for this Grow Diary is to showcase both breeders in the best light possible. Any support/advice is greatly apricated.
