Fastbuds Banana Purple Punch - Window grow

kohlrabi Guess who burnt her tiny little plant because she did not know how strong her cheap light was? It's-a me! Argh. Let's see what happens. In my limited experience, If you make mistakes in the early days of auto plants, you often ruin the whole grow.

kohlrabi In compensation for the leaf I burnt, she produced three instead of two in the next set. O_O Thanks? All the usuals for me: Wick system in an Air Pot, eco soil with little nutrients, so that I can use up my set from Green Buzz Nutrients. Looking good despite the inferior lights!

kohlrabi The two journals I'm currently keeping show quite clearly how important good lights are. This plant here is a week older, but has grown considerably less. Whilst the height is about the same, fewer leaves have developed here and they are also smaller. I have now moved the plant a little closer to the window, as the electric plant light is only just enough to prevent it from becoming spindly.

kohlrabi Nothing exciting to tell, except for the little visitor we have. I moved the Pot closer to the window in hope of some more development.

kohlrabi This asparagus thinks it's the right time to start flowering. I bent it down straight away.

kohlrabi Like my other plant, this is a very unlucky grow. I started this one as a window project, but since the other one stopped growing, I decided to put this one in the small grow box as there is (unfortunately) enough space. I gave her a bit of low stress training, but as she stopped growing as well, I just left her to it.

kohlrabi Nothing much has happened. The plant seems to be frozen in time. I'm still hoping for some more buds, but it doesn't look like it at the moment.

kohlrabi Same same. She hasn't grown. The very few buds have developed a little, but honestly, it's a waste of space and electricity. I can't wait for my next grow, this time with proper soil.

kohlrabi Fortunately, I haven't given up on this little plant; a lot has happened in the last week. I have defoliated a little and - somewhat half-heartedly - used low stress training. She looks ugly now, but she seems to like the treatment. Now she can enjoy the artificial sun for a few more days. It's no longer a window grow, but I'm expecting a higher yield that way. I have come to realise that our north-facing flat is not suitable for more.

kohlrabi Not one of my proudest grows. Northern Europe is not ready for window grows yet, at least not where I'm living. Pleasant smell and taste, though. I'm sure it would be more potent if it had enough light.
