I cut the stems of the gmo mom in the center about an inch into the already snipped branch. Then I cut the scions’ (chem d getting grafted on) stem into a V shape so it would fit snugly in the 1 inch cut I made in the gmo branch. I then used grafting tape to secure the scions to their new moms. I then placed a zip lock bag (as closed as I could get it) over the new graft areas.
I wound up with one successful graft (spoiler: its Graft 1). I think I made it harder on them at first by not securing the tops of the bags so the bags were hanging, rather than resting entirely on the new grafted areas.
