New seeds have come :) this round will contain mainly indicas, except the shining silver haze that i will be trying to learn how it grows with only a topping and defoliation in a 10lt pot.
As usual im using biobizz as nutrients and soil, germinating in 400cc pots.
Soil: Biobizz Allmix
Nutrients: Biobizz
Led: apollo evolution 16 912W
My other led is in technical support so i will not be able to use that indoor just yet. They will be grown for now, in the same indoor where the cbd seeds are, so the photos will be kinda mixed lol.
Edit: led panel has arrived on day 6!! So the plants are moved to their single indoor :)
Day 3: First 3 seeds germinated. The other 3 are struggling yet. Hopefully tomorrow they get out :)
Day 4: All Out :)
Day 6: Almost near of 2 pairs of leaves. Once the two appear, the switch to final 10Lt will be done. Hopefully next week on day 8~9.
Started the transfer on day 9! Unfortunately I need more soil, so could only transfer 3 plants. The rest were only given water. Nutrients will be added in the final pot. Added some notes I obtained in Expoweed here in Chile from Delight that import the led panel I have :). Im impresed that the black valley is growing verrrry well. Im hoping a lot from those ladies. Humidity has been an issue since the humidifier i have used only tap water. Fortunately I installed the purifier, but the damage to the device is beyond recovery. Probably will have to get a new one. Note to head: only use mineral water, no mather if you can clean the device with vinegar to only use tap water. It wont work and finish messing the RH in the indoor.
This week I topped 4/6 plants on 5th node. The others will still not be topped since I see a slow growth and dont want to stun them like it happened with the dinamed on the other diary. I will wait a few days before topping badazz and shining. Fed the bio-grow nutrient to improve the growth.
Day 18: watered the ladies except for indica prozack (1), shining and badazz. Two more days for them since pot is still heavy.
Starting flowering this time :) fed the first bloom nuts, turned on the extractor and intractor at max because the weather is getting hotter, 32ºC outside and inside the indoor at 33-34. Black valley is the most vigorous of them all. Badazz and shining were not topped because I saw a smaller growth on them. One of the black valley was fimmed instead of topped. Im turning the humidifier off this week to check the RH with all the pots watered in this kind of weather. Last time I turned it on it raised up to about 80%, so we’ll see (at 35% now that I checked, which is too low I believe. Maybe a timer along with the extractor will be nice. I will be out of town for 4, so a bottle with some water will be placed win each plant. I hope the plants dont suffer much :(
Update: Back from mini-vacations! Its amazing how much the plants have grown! The Black Valley have more arms than sheeva and very very thirsty. I will start giving water twice a day and continue with Guano for CalMag.
This week exploded in growth! Buds are still growing and streatching is going slow and steady. The temperature has been an issue since we had a wave of heat that turned the outside weather to about 34ºC, so all the intractor and extractor were turned to máximum and inside temp got no more than 30º. Still pretty dangerous, i hope this wont affect the growth. Gave some folicular guano to the ladies this week :)
Nice and steady, these ladies have been a surprise in the indoor. First no streatch, and suddenly puff. The led panel had to be lifted about 40 more cm when i returned home. Bat guano was dissolved in 1lt of water and sprayed all over the leaves and the leftovers in the soil. Watering 2lts per plant so far, and buds are slowly appearing :) . Next week im hoping the grow stops and the flowers will start to grow more. I will definitely continue with bat guano because gave me good results in deficiencies.
Starting with guano and more bloom nuts. Stretch still going on and flowers are not that big yet. The heat has been a major issue this days, over 34ºC outside and inside near 30º. What a nightmare :( . No further deficiency has been found and the shining that didnt stretch much is gaining strength. Im so happy for it :)
Will see what happens in the upcoming days.
UPDATE 25/01: Its getting very hot in my city :( this week we will have around 37°C and inside the indoor with all the intake and exhaust fans the temperature is reaching 33°C. I had to take the Carbon Filter out in order to lower it to 30°C, but I found the Badazz plant with several dried lower leaves. After searching it could be nitrogen, magnesium, heat stress or plain old leaves that are dropped. Im deeply worried on my plants because I don't have a chance to get another potent extractor to retrieve the heat T_T . I hope my crop doesnt suffer too much from this heat wave 😓. Led panel distance to buds was increased and I took the time to water the soil with the pulverizer one by one. Gave 2LTs each one and opened a little window in the back where no light comes inside. Tomorrow I will provide some honey to the plants and see if this helps a little.
These days have been awful! Lots of heat, lots of water for my ladies. Im watering 2Lts and will increase it to 3lt because im finding more leaves that are falling almost green. Pot is like cotton when lifted so they are drinking a lot. Watering daily now, and found an advanced potasium deficiency on one of the black valley. Checked the others and it was starting on 4 of them. Gave honey along with the watering and i will see any progress today. Badazz and shining had lots of nitrogen deff also so I added 1ml more in the watering yesterday. Will check how it behaves and then ill provide the nuts for this week. Im also preparing some guano for watering. Buds are growing slowly, but I can tell that the progress is not ideal. Cant wait for this heat wave to go away :(
Update 29-01: it seems the deff stopped. I gave guano in the water for the black valley that has the K deff and also fed the rest with the nuts from week 5. I increased the bloom nut and noticed that when watering, there is no runoff at all. Ill start watering 2Lt, 1 in the morning and 1 in the night.
The black valley from the front is getting more K deff :( i started with the full nuts and since tomorrow ill give more honey to help him push. Production has stopped for now, but the badazz and prozack are healthy :) shining silver haze had some N toxicity i believe, because it was way too dark green compared with the other ones, so yesterday I gave her a flush and today started with the nuts again. Saw a long young branch popping between the forest with a very light green color, so Its recovering and still streatching :) good sign.
I will definitely consider some defoliation during flowering next time, remove big leaves and do some defoliation during veg too to remove the lower branches. I noticed a lot of lower flowers that are taking energy from the main colas, so I think that will be something interesting to try out now.
Oh! And on top of the heat stress, two lights of my led panel died, along with two of the fans from the top. God loves to give me problems, ejem, trials.
Heat wave is out! at last .... It was a paaaain in the * trying to maintain the ladys with the constant heat stress for about three weeks. Allthough, Badazz and prozack are growing nice and fat :) It will be a nice yield after all. Hopefully soon the trichs will explode.
Watered every single day 2 lts on the ladies. Topmax is depleted and will be replaced with guano. All the plants from this indoor were moved to the indoor were Dinamed was, So I have 8 plants in that indoor. Not ideal, but it is what it is. This indoor had the led panel with technical issues (2 lights burned and 2 fans stopped working) so its being used for drying and led went to the growshop for repairing. These upcoming weeks I will pay special attention to Black Valley. I want a good yield out of it :'( Indica is my favorite, but this straing eats like crazy (one seed remaining so I will take that into consideration.
Its nice to know that not all the strains work the same. This will be a long journey until I find the one I like the most and start training to increase the quality of the flowers from there forward.
Oh! And after reading about my little nitrogen problem, I figure that BEFORE entering Flowering its best to have a green plant, like ... very green, so you don't have to add more nitrogen since it affects the flower production. Next grow: Add some Worm Humus to the pot so the lady have more than enough for the flowering journey.
Cheers!
Nothing further to note, except that the deff in black valley stopped and dinamed is growing nice. Prozack, badazz and the other black valley are gorgeous and fat.
Will continue for 4 more weeks
Very happy this week. After removing one of the dinamed from the other diary, i had to move around the plants and finished with the arms and hands sticky af. Prosack is with beautiful brown and orange colors, trichs all over the bud and several are amber already. Badazz and black valley are almost ready too, so this will be the last week with nuts. Last one with only have water. When i grabbed the prozack, it had a nice pine and citrus smell. Beautiful <3
One of the prozack had the arms bent due to the weight. So next diary will definitely have some wire or wood/bamboo to sustain the arms.
UPDATE: After reading the official website, several plants will be harvest tomorrow. Shining Silver Haze will continue its cycle for 3 more weeks (including this one). So only for SSH this will be the last week with nuts. Next one, only water to trigger the phase end.
This strain is still a challenge to grow! Very interesting and fun to have it in my indoor. I will try once more in the future, but the heat stress is definitely a problem with this one. Winter is coming so I will have a special space for this one, AND I've bought a 3d base for LST that hopefulyl will help me make a proper training for greater yields. Trimming and defoliation will be done in the near future (without any more fear of screwing it up xD)
