2x RQS Dance World and 1x RQS Haze Berry. Both Photos.
Seeds put into a paper towel at around 06.05 with all seeds germinating.
First week outside when it was sunny and then put into the box for the rest of the day with the 150w LED @ around 20-30%.
Light cycle kept at 18-6
Seedlings are growing good. With the Dance World #2 showing a really strong growth. Followed by DW #1.
The Haze Berry looks a bit sad which wont change until some weeks in. I just left her and refrained from babysitting it too much. Same treatment as the other ones.
The final pots are 11l fabrics. Soil is biobizz light mix with some coconut on top, because I ran out of the light mix. While transplanting I also added some mycorrhiza to the target soil.
Week 2, starting to add some Canna Terra Vega. Watering them about 5l with 15-20ml of Terra Vega for the first time.
Dance World #2 is going pretty strong, followed by DW#1. The haze berry still looks a bit sad and unhealthy. Still no special treatment for her. I just try to keep an eye on the soil so I dont drown her with too much water.
Week 3/4: Dance World #2 still going strong. Topped it to encourage some width-growth. Also for learning purposes.
The other two are left alone.
Switched to 12-12 cycle on the 5th as the box is already lacking space.
Week 3/4, plants are looking fine in my eyes. They really seem to like the nutrients. Growth explodes every time they have had their bath. All in all pretty happy. Also the Haze Berry seems to have caught up and is looking alrightish
Stopped taking as much pictures as before. I do have a cam inside which I can access from my phone, including a temp/humidity sensor (ESP32-CAM module with DHT-22).
Flowering has already started for the Dance World #2 and #1 is also showing signs of pre-flower.
Also some LST has been introduced to both the Dance Worlds to spread out the canopy and leave some space for the rest.
I've also started to remove some leaves in the bottom to enhance the airflow. More will be done later to avoid humidity problems in the later stage (Some kind of lollipopping comes to mind).
Found one thrips which I have been fighting on my other house plants for a while. Seems like they have finally made it into the box. As a precaution I have immediately added some SF-Nemathods and Mesostigmata which I already had in hand. I'm not too worried about them becoming too much of a problem. I have not found any larvae after throughout inspection and working with the swat team it should be fine.
Regarding my other houseplants, I only occasionally find some on their leafs, but all in all it is slowly going away.
I can recommend Neem-Oil spray for the house-plants. But for my 3 cannabis plants I am using some stinging nettle extract sprayed on the leaves from time to time. Supposedly they like it and it also said to work as a repellant.
As for the leafs I have removed I have put them in a bottle with some water to create some manure. I'll remove any excess oxigen and let it stand there for 3 weeks, shaking it occasionally. It will build up pressure through releasing some gas, so keep that in mind (you dont want that stuff explode in your house). This is my experiment with doing this on a small scale. If you have some space/a garden look into some tutorials on how to do this in a bucket. Its really easy and makes some perfect fertilizer.
Starting this diary at about 7 weeks in, 2 weeks since 12-12 switch. Recalling some things on the go and dumping my pictures. I also have some data (temp/humidity) and pictures coming from some devices (ESP32-CAM module DHT22, Shelly Smart-Plugs) which are not yet included here but might be added later.
I got this 60x60 tent rent-free and just wanted to start my first real grow and get some experience in. 2 Dance Worlds and 1 Haze Berry. All of them photos. Started without much preparation (as most of the equipment was lend to me).
Some stats:
- 3 11l fabric pots with BioBizz Light Mix
- ~150w LED panel (256 LM301B +16 Osram)
- small static usb-fan
- PK125-EC2 fan with filter
- Terra Vega + Terra Flores, BOOST Accelerator
Well aware that 60x60 is very thight for 3 plants but the german laws do allow a max. of 50g dry and 3 plants anyways. So theres much room for experimantation. The Dance Worlds profile was very interesting for me. Thats why I wanted to add some redundancy and grow 2 of them in case one gets lost on the way. As for the Haze Berry, I was looking for some Silver-Haze strains and this one caught my eye. I'm not really interested in these 30% THC blasters. No hate though, I will definitely grow some too at a later point, but I am also much interested in the alternative cannabinoids and recently, terpenes. (Thus the Dance World with its 12%THC/12%CBD profile) My goal is to find some strains I really like and maybe even get into breeding. But one step after another 😅.
Beginning of this weeks log:
Dance World #2 is running ahead. Followed by DW#1 also having some sweet flowers coming out.
The Haze Berry is still a bit behind but stretching hard. I hope it will start concentrating its energy into the flowers soon, so I can stop worrying it reaching for the sun (the LED that is).
Smells are there but still alright. The fan is running 24h hours, keeping the humidity between 50 and 60% and temperature at about 24-27 at the day.
Phasing out the Terra Vega slowly and moving to Flores.
Haven't found any more thrips yet.
