Popped inside 72hrs. Removed humidity dome as soon as it broke the surface. Watering very lightly every other day with a small amount of bottom feed to cup to stimulate downward root growth. First run of soil for me. Moving away from expensive synthetics and daily waterings in coco. So far this process has been incredibly easy and far more efficient and effective to be honest. Certainly excited to contrast this grow against the same seeds I am currently growing in coco.(week out from flower).
Great start. Water every 3 days “ish” check back in next week. Should have enough food in the soil to get me through to second or third week of veg. Then will transplant and start lst if things are looking healthy
Week 2 of veg. Everything looks pretty good, soil may be a bit “hot” or maybe i under watered, tough to say, but I did water a bit more then I expected I would have too, but was very careful not over water especially from the top. Mostly just wet the top when it was completely dry and bottom fed to supplement. That being said, I have no concerns with her current health or growth rate at this point. Hoping to see atleast another set of leaves or even two sets this week.
So not a lot to say. She speaks for herself. Nothing but water when dry. Will have a new light going into my flower tent right around the same time she is ready for transplant. Based on the size and spread of the two of these seeds that I already have going at week 7 I am tempted to go ahead and lst and top this plant multiple times. Either way, I dont want another 3’ wide, 3’ tall plant, 2 is enough for now.

Happy Happy. Gonna prep some soil tonight for end of week transplant. Steady on!
Topped, few days to bounce back and shes getting transplanted.
Gave her a good work over to get the top of the plant down nicely, and threw a tie on after I transplanted into a pre loaded soil mix. Added some mycorrhizae to the roots as transplanting. Watered her in.

Yeah I feel the same way. I’m using a peat moss/coco/perlite mix with Lotus Nutrients and I’m thinking of switching to organic soil and gaia green for my next run.
@Papa_T, it feels like starting from the stables, put her on the line and let her go, shes gonna run her race or shes not. 🤷♂️ I %100 agree though its a matter of preference absolutely. If 72hrs was that precious to me I would probably just throw down a bunch more seeds for the couple minutes it takes.
@Tootiehobgoblin, well germinating in paper towel or water kind of takes away the guessing game of if she has popped or not. There really is no right or wrong way the end results are the same. Right now I’m still running this peat moss/coco/perlite mix with lotus. Yeah my next run will be in soil or I may try to keep using this medium but try amending it with gaia green and see how that goes. I don’t know yet. I’ll definitely keep an eye on your grow. Your plant is doing well.
@Papa_T, I will watch for your diary. Week 2 is already looking very promising! I have some of these seeds in coco but this one is already outpacing them by 2-3 days over a ten day span. Also, I will never germinate any other way than directly into living soil, no more messing with soaks or paper towel, just drop it! Sometimes the natural way of things just makes the most sense.
