It seems we have trouble in paradise. Magnesium deficiency has manifested itself. Starting to feed CALiMAGic @ 1ml/gal until normal photsynthesis returns.
Been a tough week. Plants where shutting down and dying. A positive response from the CALiMAGic led me to increasing dose to 2ml/gal. In addition I amended the soil with ALASKA Fish Emulsion @ 10ml/gal. Normal growth is starting to return as well as color. They became very woody and dry with purple stems. I am thinking I lost 1-2 weeks veg and am lucky not to have more damage than I did. I trimmed the necrotic leaves and shaped them up a bit. Waiting on healthy plants to do a final trim before flower..
The stretch is on. Strong pre-flowers now. Luckily the girls health is much improved this week. Purple is leaving the stems and green is returning. I have noticed cannabis plants tend to not care about existing leaves a whole lot once they start to flower. Things look like they may get to be a bit much for the branches so I wrapped them in the net.
Dealing with a good bit of PM here. Nights have been in the high 60's. I am at the mercy of nature. Buds have started packing on mass but not much for trichs.
Also had an issue this week where several of my long term plants had been in deficiency earlier. This resulted in stem defects where long sections of the branch would blister and drop/die. Unfortunately one of these defects manifested itself and I had to do a Boy Scout repair that has been satisfactorily performing.
Getting skunk and cotton candy for days.
The temps have eased a bit and the pressure from the PM is in limbo for now. Pretty sure these will need at least 4 more weeks if Mother Nature allows.
They seem to be trying to shed any leaf that is not part of the flower.
These are starting to finish up. I am not getting a lot of amber. The flower is basically dying on the vine and the branches turning to wood.
It is ripening from the bottom up and I have been pulling a bunch of popcorn and larff. If I don't it goes bad really fast. A staggered harvest it underway.
Quality is extremely high and very consistent even in the smallest flowers.
These plants did well but I think it could have been better without the nutrient issues. Taste is great and the effect is very high quality. Gets you up and you stay up for a good bit. For a heavy indica it can get edgy like a sativa under higher dosages. Last but not least I finally know why they call it Pink Kush. The proof is in the pudding.
