first recorded strawberry lemonade diary

so I managed to get this 5 day's before the actual retail launch (3 days now, waiting on delivery), not from Barney's but from somewhere so I thought I'd start it quick is possible before anyone else

not really much has happened but we'll keep pushing on, stay tuned

so week 2, not much has really changed. there's a nice hue of purple at the bottom of the leafs. the vain of the leafs are a nice deep red which I find very addictive to look at. so far I can't complain I love my little phenotype and I can tell they've smashed this new "Cali collection" as I call it. I might take clones if I have the space or money. if not all need to get the gorilla zkittlez, phantom OG and shiskaberry diaries done and possibly inquire about if we could make a orange sherbet, pink Kush and another new strain diary happen. but so far it's a 10/10 from me with the new strawberry lemonade. if you can find it,go pick it up. ps. the reason for the white Straw is because I was trying to do my clothes peg LST method and accidentally snagged the stem so if you cut a straw down the middle and wrap it around the stem then give it a few days if your inpatient or a week or two if you want it stable as it can be it will rebound either way, just be delicate

well not much has happened to be honest, it's free its first set of "Tri leafs" and is in the mids of growing the 4 fingered leafs, it's a sturdy little plants, with nice thick foliage for a seedling and the smell is next to nothing so far.

yeah so as you can see in 1 week she's changed a lot, she loves the way I grow and not to mention when you rub her stem she has a massive and loud fruity note, it's so hypnotic I want a air freshener that smells like that !!!! I've only one question when should I put this into flower ?, this is a new tent I've bought last month its height is 140cm, my old one was 180cm so I'm a bit confused on when I should flower as I don't want the stretch to get to much and my buds to bleached or worse be burnt. btw she isn't getting fed any nutes she still has her chollydones or however they are spelled, she's a hardy plant

so I thought I'd add another week 2 days early since I see some competition lol with new diaries popping up, so I defoliated heavily so light could get into the branches, within the next week and a half I'm going to flower I just need to wait on the sorbet dreams to catch up then I will. nothings really changed as per, they love the environment especially the strawberry lemonade under the HPS so it's definitely a HPS strain. the smell is reeking of strawberries when you rub the stem but I don't think it will yield much is kinda annoying me thinking about it because I haven't heard word back from Barney's or nothing on the stench so to save chopping tops I'll do it next week. the stem is rock solid to say the least, I'm not defoliating anymore so it can at least have a good amount to structure to the buds. thinking about it I could stretch it another 2 weeks in veg but I dunno I'm a bit bipolar on when to flower.... so any advice is appreciated.

yeah so she's definitely not getting topped or nothing like that, she doesn't need trained she trains her self so that's less work for me tbh. she's got another 2-3 weeks then she'll get the flip and well see how she goes. I'm ideally wanting to flip her by the end of this month so I think that's possible anyway. I was planning on topping her but it's the first proper dedicated diary on her so why mess with her and let people she how she is with just defoilation like I assume everyone does anyway. I'm not going to do nothing with her the next two weeks so she can bush out again but for a sativa Dom strain she's definitely on the Indica side of things. mind you I'm glad about that I nearly scrapped the diary when I found out she was a sativa Dom strain.

so I said I wasn't going to top it but I topped my other plants so why not I top all the branches and the main stem for the fact I believe this has been a strain that is just been rushed out. I am having weird growth patterns that aren't happing on any other plant expect this which is deeply annoying me because it looks horrible and stupid I'm just being honest that why I don't get more traction because I don't hold back but I'm kinda disappointed, I went out my way to get this early and it turns out I either got a shit phenotype or it's another rushed out copy like most breeders in today's world at the minute. don't get me wrong it's healthy and it's lush green but when 3 other plants are full of nodes,braches and zero spaces it makes me question what is going on

since everyone is moaning I'll update but my opinion still stands, since some of the examples on here are either burnt or to small to even get a good idea from what I will look like I'll do my service since I got it first. its been topped everywhere, its mostly purple on the stems due to cold temps at night, it loves phosphorus so you better be ready to use those PK boosters early and thats it. no updates until harvest

and this is just why I won't be growing anymore of BF genetics, for a company who's slogan is "breeder of champions" that slogan has been quite misleading over the years, now I've grew lemon amnesia, LSD,the violator kush, laughing Buddha,triple cheese, peyote cookies, tangerine dream auto, blue mammoth and a good few others in my years of growing and many have passed the mark on great quality but its ever since late 2016 I've been getting a lot of quality errors, now I'm not really saying some isn't my fault but I normally never grow just the one strain I have 2 of each or 1 of each in a tent. now when you have 75% of your tent full of pungent smells and nice looking buds while one plant looks weaker than an old grandma, you really begin to question if they quality is up to par. my main example I can show right now is my sorbet dreams and bubba island kush, those 2 plants are untouchable when it comes to quality of smell and THC, its those two plants and the blue og now the most. I need to rub the stem to smell the strawberry lemonade. now on to my main issue with this strain, above 50% of my plant had to be plucked and chucked in the bin because we are now on week 3 and most of the plant had not shown pistils or flowered all together, while you have my bushy sorbet dreams that has every single bud site with pistils so it really begs the question in it all, is it a breeders plants am I growing or just another seed maker caring about money because that's how its felt the over the past 2 years and the strawberry lemonade has killed the switch on me with Barney farm( let's not mention finding out off someone on a post the blue gelato has no sunset sherbet to be called a gelato), there's no excuse for a plant that was defoilated, one quarter turned every 3 hours, not to flower properly, especially under HPS lights. people might get better results but I'm not bulls/ting my experience so people can make their own choices

finally, about time its got some trichomes, its only took 2-3, weeks but the quality is still lacking severely compared to older genetics like lemon amnesia, by now my old lemon Amnesia had trichomes all over the fan leaves and minute leafs. if you want the THC to come quicker then you better stress it and give it loads of sugars along with a lot of phosphorus otherwise you're going to be growing hemp. sorry for being harsh most of this grow and the lack on enthusiasm but the quality in most of my experiences with BF Lately is

it comes down this week so better post it not all pictures are from this week the latest is 3 days ago got pistils growing out leafs zero fade during flush so far 30% amber 70%cloudy it's humidity has been below 40% for 4 weeks, so it's as dense they are going to be. tried the buds, not bad taste, burned white (ash doesn't matter anyway)

first person in the world to get it 3 weeks before pre release, grew it, now I've got the first harvest in the world after pre release :) Smoke report / Time 21:17 / 4th April Strain - strawberry lemonade Lineage - unknown strawberry X lemon OG Genotype - sativa Dom Smell uncracked open - strawberry, light citrus smell, lemon water smell Smell cracked open - hashy, strawberry, more noticeable lemon Bud structure - overall nice, decent amount of trichs, 90% bud to 10% leaf ratio Papers used for joint - Element rolling papers (standard packet, not the new hemp slow burn) Filter - Element perforated trips Lighter - Zippo Joint weight - approximately 1.7-1.8g Any extras in the joint or bong (extracts, mixture's etc) - there is 0.2 or 0.3 of strawberry lemonade scissor hash, 0.2 of strawberry lemonade keif and 0.3 of strawberry lemonade trim dry sift hash. So there's a lot in this joint. First hit, hashy.... Extremely hashy As I keep smoking, somewhat less hash taste, more sweet flavour.... Report back in a while..... It's now 21:25 , it's quite a light high, halfway through the joint as I am a light smoker considering I've been on a 6 month tolerance break Next day : ended up walking up over 12 hours later, all I remember is the joint towards the end was far to resinous to smoke at some point, the high got intense after smoking another joint if a different strain then fell asleep
