KeyDetails: Climate: Indoors/Greenhouse Flowering: 85-90 daysAverage Height: 1.4mAverage Yield: 500+g % THC / CBD: 13 / 1.10 This strains is one from a breeder known as growers of conviction. Brainz haze storm is a cross between their conviction haze and another strain called brainstorm haze, it's an 85% sativa-15% indica. A full cannabinoid profile can be downloaded from their website but other then this info I really don't know a great deal about them, however they only come as regular seeds, and I can't afford to run males in the space I have so I'm really hoping that they are female! I germinated 3 beans by placing them directly from the packet into John innes seedling and cutting soil in 7cm pots and lightly saturated with activera on the evening of the 6th of December, and the first one had surfaced sometime this morning well I was asleep so took roughly two and a half days, hopefully the next two beans aren't far behind! I am going to be using biobizz soil aswell as their line of nutrients for this grow, but being regs I'm not entirely sure how this diary is going to pan out, if I only manage to get one female then may just keep her as a mother plant but we shall see when we cross that bridge! Will add pics of the other two beans when they show am appearance! Update: brainz haze #2 surfaced 4 and a half days into germination, there has been a slight change to what I was planning here, because only 2/3 of these have germinated, I am going to veg one of these using bio grow, but I have just been sent some biocanna nutes so to test them out I figured the best way is to do a side by side comparison on the same strain so #2 will be veged with bio vega.

So today is the first day of week 2, BHS #1 is a few days older that's why she is a little bigger then BHS #2, today I gave them their first feed of nutrients giving #1 0.25ml of bio grow, and will be giving #2 0.25ml of bio Vega on her next watering, light has been changed from 24hr to 18/6, but that's about all there is to update at the moment

So far one of these BHS have come along quite well, the one I fed bio Vega to however doesn't seem to be doing to well, I am hoping she makes a nice recovery though. I have recently transplanted to a 5l pot and will be giving them a couple of days before I top them so I can get started on the lst asap, I have also sacked the led off and am veging with a 400w hps.. not really anything else to update at the moment though so till next time!

This update is for BHS #1, it has been topped at the 5th node and I have bent the main stem over slightly, it is pretty sturdy though so was quite awkward but will be training the side branches too, to create as many bud sites as possible. I have trimmed off a few of the fan leafs to allow as much light penetration as possible so hopefully it thickens up nicely now

so we have reached week 5, both of these two plants seem to have started displaying gender already and look like they are females.. I will keep my eye on them this week though just to make sure! I am going to be transplanting to 20l pots in the next day or two and then will be continuing with the training, they still have a couple weeks before they get the flip though so plenty of time to thicken up a bit more and develope more bud sites! getting quite excited to see how these turn out now! Also this can be seen on picture #5, one of these seems to have grown an extra 2 branches out of the knuckles that have been produced at the last set of nodes where its been topped, and I haven't seen that happen before so was quite surprised to see it happen!

So here we are at week 6, since my last update they have both been transplanted a final time, they have both been fairly impressive so far to be fair but onebis slightly bigger then the other, both pretty strong though. I have carried on the training a little to keep them even but after this week I will be giving them the flip due to their long flowering time so I'm quite looking forward to seeing how they get on as they transition now! They seem like quite genetically strong plants upto now so hopefully they just keep on improving!

So this week she had been given the flip, she started with a 24 hour dark period and a small dose of bloom to help trigger the flowering a little quicker! If you look at some of the pics towards the end you can see that one of them has mutated slightly.. And has an extra branch starting to grow out of the knuckles of a few of the nodes! I have done some more tidying up at the bottom of the plant to focus their energy higher up and done some defoliation, one them could still do with a bit more though.. training still seems to be keeping them pretty even but to helping them grow out quite alot as you can see in the pictures has made them pretty bushy too and has created plenty of bud sites so I'm fairly impressed with these so far! Sorry pictures are best quality!

week 2 of 12/12, progress is still coming along well for the girls.. vertical growth has slowed down a little now but she is still filling out and her bud sites are coming on now.. she needs some defoliation again because she is getting bushy but all in all I'm happy with how they are doing.. they are still pretty even too, going to start increasing the dose of bloom now and keep my fingers crossed that they keep growing strong and healthy! I will try and get some clearer pictures after, my phone camera just isnt good

Week 3 of 12/12 Is now out the way, I thing vertical growth is slowing down now but hasn't stopped completely. I have introduced topmax to the feed this week at quarter strength, I have also given a feed of Epsom salts and added a top dressing of dolomite lime to both plants, a few of the tops have stretched up a bit more then others making her slightly uneven and they have toughened up quite a bit so just going to let them grow out now but they both still have a pretty decent canopy so I'm not complaining, but formation has come along nicely and node spacing doesn't seem to wide so hoping for some nice tight thick colas from these girls 💪

So I'm at the end of week 4 of flower now, feel like I probably should have trimmed them down a little more as they looks like they are going to have a fair few popcorn buds, they are both filling out nicely though and are plastered in bud sites to be fair, I'm quite impressed with the bud structure on the main tops too.. look like they are going to produce a pretty decent harvest anyway. Thc production seems to be coming on a little more now and haven't noticed anything to worry about yet so hoping they continue to grow without any hassle!

D35 of 12/12 these girls are starting to come along a little quicker now, so had a fair bit of bud growth over the past Week! The two plants are slightly different from each other though, one of them is just filling out now and on the other the buds are filling out quite slowly in comparison but they seem to be stretching up a little more still and she looks a little more sativa then the other. Both are starting to stink a bit now smelling of diesel and berries and both are looking like they are going to yield well so hopefully they continue to progress as well as they have so far!

D41 of 12/12 This week I have given another watering of Epsom salts, I think I shocked them a little as I had to hide them for a few hours the other day but it doesn't seem to have done any damage, they are starting to gain weight a bit quicker now and look like they are going to produce nice chunky buds.. one seems to be getting a bit frostier then the other but the one that isn't as frosty looks oilier if that makes sense, like she is producing more resin.. the smell of these is becoming more potent now as they smell pretty skunky but still quite gassy and like berries.. they still have a little while to Go but I think it's just a matter of putting weight on now so I'm looking forward to seeing how much they fatten up!

Why did you get regular seeds if you can't afford males in there? Feminised don't cost too much more really. It just cuts down on the risk of all this effort (and not to mention cost) being for nothing. Hope you end up with a couple of ladies here. May The Grow be With You.

@ForTheBlunted,haha thanks man.. same to you! I'll be happy even if just one of them is female as I will use her as a mother plant I think.. fingers crossed though 🤞

@@Cannamanuk, ah that’s cool. Can’t beat some freebies 😂. Would be awesome to get a couple of killer ladies for free. Gonna keep my eye on this grow. Hope Santa brings you lots of healthy fat buds 😂

@ForTheBlunted, I didn't order these seeds pal, my friend went to the last bill hearing in London and was given these by the breeder but as he doesn't grow he gifted them too me, everything else I am running are fems, I think this strains is only available in reg seeds though I have just had them a while and was curios to see how they get on.. thanks man me too.

It's nice to see my seeds get a trial, especially when they are freebies, I would advice getting the humidity down for flowering though! The only promise I can give over my seeds is that I start from good genetics. Unfortunately being a UK breeder has it's problem, time, space, Place (the UK), illegality and police raids (hence the name Growers of Conviction seeds) making the long term commitments needed to fully stabilise or produce fem's quite difficult to say the least. Often it's not even possible to get back to strains and do a re release as was the case over one of the Strains that went into these 'Conviction Haze', when I did get round to doing a 2nd release, it had been years and only a male came through! So I had a friend who had selected himself a good example of Brianstorm Haze, the rest of the story should unfold in your Grow room. I believe the make up of this plant is Oasis, Blueberry, Mazar, Jamaican? (lemony bag weed), Kiwi 2 Pounder = Conviction Haze x Brianstorm Haze, their not F1 hybrids hence the variation, however it's the F2's where the exceptional plants can be found, and breeding back to an exceptional mother is one way new strains get stabilized. Feminized plants are great but they also allow seed companies to restrict the flow of genetics, when I started growing all seeds came as regular and that's why I have scores of crosses in my collection. Looking forward to seeing how you do with these.

@Cannacriminal, If im honest when i got them in the first place I was a bit hesitant because I have never grown regs before and didn't really know what to expect from them, I potted up a few that turned male, I intended to run them with fems for comparison purposes and despite being male I was still impressed with the plants and how they grew, I just couldn't keep males and I'm not looking at breeding or anything like that at the moment so so I didn't have any use for a male plant.. I got a couple more potted up again with some fem seeds for this run.. And fortinatly they are both females! I must add though that the difference between the fems and these regs though is fairly noticeable.. the regs look happier, healthier, the regs are thicker and stronger, they seem to bounce back from anything I do to them immediately and don't seem sensitive to feed ect..so all round they seem hardier then the fems.. all in all like you said the genetics from the regs seem far more stable then those of the fems seeds and I am pretty impressed so far with them so I too am looking forward to seeing how they finish. Thank you also for adding the info that you posted.. it sounds like a nice selection has been picked to create this strain, I will have another update this afternoon. Thanks for stopping by mate!
