The best fruit cocktail you are ever likely to try, Strawberry Banana Grape is a sativa-dominant strain that packs a punch in both flavour and effect.
Short in stature but with an impressive yield of immense quality, Strawberry Banana Grape is easy to cultivate for beginners as well as more advanced growers.
The buds on this plant are especially abundant and thick, so branches will need to be supported during cultivation.
In terms of taste and aroma, Strawberry Banana Grape offers exactly what you would expect; immense fruity flavours with nuances of diesel.
This strain takes between 9-10 weeks to flower and is suitable for all environments and grow media.
So I started germinating this bean on thursday the 6th of December by placing her straight from the pack into a 7cm pot of John innes seedling and cutting soil, and lightly saturated with activera. she had surfaced sometime this morning so she has taken roughly two and a half days to germinate. During this grow I will be topping her and doing some low stress training and she will be flowering under a 600w hps, I will also be using biobizz nutrients and soil for this this grow so fingers crossed she turns out well!
D1/w2.. today I have introduced nutrients by giving her a dose of bio grow at 0.25ml/l, she has now gone from 24hrs of light to 18/6, I have had to support her a little as she started leaning well stretching for light but she seems content now, that's about all there is to update at the moment!
So there had been a change of plan with these now, im leaving te led light out of this grow and veging with a 400w hps, I'm trying to make the most of this grow so hopefully the light will help that along a little! she has been transplanted this week into a 5l pot, and some time in the next couple days I am going to top her so I can start training asap, besides that there isn't much else to say at the moment so till next time!
So we are a few days into week 4, I have topped her at the 4th node and bent the main stem over slightly to begin training, and trimmed off a few leafs to allow in as much light as possible, she is quite sturdy already though so training the main stem is a bit awkward but will be training the side branches too, to create as many bud sites as possible
So onto week 5 with this sbg.. progress seems to be coming along pretty well at the moment, she is still quite short at the moment but she is getting stocky and filling out well, I will be transplanting in the next day or 2 for a final time into a 20l pot and then she still has a couple weeks to go before she gets the flip to get some more training in so I'm looking forward to seeing how she gets on!
So we are at week 6 here.. she is displsying gender now, she is in a 20l pot now to finish up in, I have moved things around slightly though now so she is currently sat under my 600w hps to finish veging and then will be flowering under the same light! This is the smallest of the plants i am currently running but training is coming along ok so far so I'm hoping she turns out quite well!
This update is a couple days late so the pics are from the last day of veg, she has started filling out a little more over the past week but has stayed quite short.. I have already cleared the lower growth to focus her energy at the top of the plant so hopefully she will have some nice thick colas.. she hasn't created as many bud sites as some of the other plants but I'm not complaining she is already starting to smell quite funky so I'm looking forward to seeing how she gets on during the flowering stretch!
Since this I have put her through a 24hour dark period and has had her first day under 12/12 So will do the update for this week on Sunday
Week 8, week 1 of 12/12... this strawberry bannana grape is coming along nicely at the moment.. she isn't showing too much growth during this first week of the flowering stretch in my opinion but her lower branches are starting to catch up a little now.. she is starting to get a really sweet aroma about her too.. she has stayed quite short in general though in comparison to the other strains but she is looking a little stocky so I'm feeling positive she is going to do well
So we are at the end of the second week of flower here, this little cocktail has stayed pretty short through out but is nice and stock and has nice bud formation forming from tight node spacing, I have introduced bio bloom this week at quarter strength and I have added a top dressing of dolomite lime to the pot too. I can't really see her getting any taller to be honest but I'm looking forward to seeing how she fills out during these next few weeks of flower. Training has pretty much finished now and I have done the rest of tidying up her lower 3rd so hopefully we shall see some nice thick colas being produced here!💪
So we are at the end of another week, 21 days into 12/12.. through out this plant has stayed fairly short and stocky, even through the flowering stretch but over the past couple days has decided she isn't quite tall enough! So she still has a bit of a vertical growth going on.. training seems to have given her strong thick stems so I'm looking forward to seeing the bud production on this plant now that she is starting to gain some bud size.. all in all she seems fairly happy and healthy, so till next time!
D28 of 12/12 for this strawberry nana grape! She is starting to get quite frosty, bud growth has come along well over the past week they and are starting to gain some size, and she is starting to get pretty smelly know, the aroma from this plant is well funky to be fair, really fruity and sweet! She has grown pretty hassle free up to now so hopefully she continues to progress well and finishes off nicely!
D35 of 12/12 she is looking rather green at the moment so have cut the grow to 1ml/l, she is starting to stack on the frost a bit now and resin prediction is coming along well too she is really sticky! Buds are coming along well as she is starting to pack some weight on so looking forward to seeing how they finish over the last few weeks!
Bit late but this update is for day 42 of 12/12, I must say this plant has grown and matured a bit quicker then I was expecting, i have a widow in the same room thats a fast flowering strain and is only meant to go roughly 7 weeks but this sbg is deffo going to be ready first and now she is almost done, I got my loupe out the day I took these pictures and noticed a few amber trichs on her so I am going to start flushing her now, buds are pretty solid and have no give to them at all, she is nice and frosty too! She smells a lot like strawberries. Anyway looking forward to seeing how much she swells during these last couple of weeks
