Continued growth on day 23, transferred a few days back to prevent root disturbance and for the plant to flourish. I am waiting to top so the stem is thick enough to support the outwards growth of the plant
Continued growth with the plant now stretching at 17 inches in height. I clipped the lower leaves to promote growth on the upper levels of the plant in order to thicken the stem to then LST the top for a more open canopy.
Continued growth on day 40 with applied LST on each node above their fan leaves, I call it the extension method. This has allowed the nodes to stretch along the fan leaves in order to receive consistent sunlight. I used a bio based poly string to prevent damage to each stem, it is available at Lowes. Nonetheless beautiful growth and rich green color on each plant.
On day 54 the plant is growing strong and has already started to develop buds with orange hairs. I have started to use the Tiger Blooms by fox farm as well, I have also started to clip the lower fan leaves that receive less sunlight to promote growth on the top.
On day 62, each plant has shot up in height with the tallest standing at 44.3inches. There are zero signs of deficiencies and I constantly upkeep them to ensure fan leaves don't over lap as well as removing the lowest nodes that receive little sunlight.
On Day 67, she has begun to transition into her purple form and increase production on her bud sites. The extension method has proven effective and ultimately increased the yield as there are almost over 20 bud sites. The smell is strong and she continues to stay healthy with a thick lower stem.
On day 73, she has continued to develop purple stems along with an increase production in trichomes as seen in the photos. Steady growth and beautiful green overall.
On day 81, the plant has shifted resources into bud development and the results have been beautiful, the plant has also flourished with low doses of nutrients in order to avoid nutrient stress. The buds are sticky to the touch and give a slight citrus and cherry/raspberry smell, with continued purple transformation of the plants cells.
Beautiful terpene growth on day 90, Icey and sticky to the touch with a strong smell. A few more weeks at most but orange hairs have started to develop, meaning its entered its 2nd/3rd flowering stage.
Continued bud development on day 96, orange hairs are increasing as well as the trichome count. This has attracted moth caterpillars to the plant, nonetheless I chose the natural way in removing them one at a time with check ups daily to ensure they don't increase in numbers and develop bud rot. I would highly recommend using a sewing beaditive (elongated tweezer), this minimizes damage by the hand and preserves the trichome count. Her purple is developing but I think the color relates to the development of the buds, as other plants increase pigmentation over bud production.
Continued growth on day 105, as October gets closer the days get shorter and the nights a bit chillier. The plants have continued to develop beautiful trichomes and the smell is scrumptious. I still find a few caterpillars here and there though i have prevented most of them from destroying the plant. Please do not neglect to check up on the state of each bud if growing outdoors.
Beautiful growth on day 111, I mistakenly took the change of color in the plants as a deficiency yet it turn out to be intentional. A beautiful dark purple continued to spread and continued terpene growth. October has rolled around so there isn't much left until it gets too cold but conditions have been stable for the plants. Caterpillars are at a minimal as well and I prevented almost all from bud rot.
On day 119, she has continued to develop beautifully. The New York October chill is approaching though it has bloomed the plants into its final flowering stage. The purple is appearing more and more as well.
Beautiful development of trichomes and color with an increase in bud size by 10-15%. They seem to have adjusted to the colder climate and aren't affected in the slightest.
Although I had to cut down one of the plants on day 134, the rest are continuing to withstand drying out or mold growing within. I will keep these up for another week if there are no signs of degradation. For the dry room I am using the Levoit humidifier from amazon which has an automatic sensor to increase the humidity if it drops too low.
Had a great time growing this strain, she had a rich dark purple color and still maintained its fruity smell. For next time I will harvest a week sooner since prolonging their life invited mold spores. I promote growing outdoors but I will say that up keep is mandatory during its flowering stage as it attracts more pests (caterpillars)
