420_observer Copied from SpliffSeeds.nl - Description of CBD Medi Kush
75% Indica. Genotype: Blue Medi Kush x Amnesiac x CBD Afghan. Super fruity taste. and Grows large, tall colas and produces big yields of hard, dense, frosty buds. Good for treating inflammation, pain, stress, depression, insomnia. Extremely relaxing body stone and high. Medium THC, high CBD (9%+).
We set out to produce a hybrid strain rich in CBD, and we certainly succeeded. First we crossed our Blue Medi Kush x Amnesiac x CBD Afghan, we then selected the most reliable and stable version of a CBD Afghan to back-cross with. This was used as a basis for stabilising her genetics over several generations, resulting in the strain we have today.
CBD Medi Kush has a very high CDB content (9%+).This Indica dominant strain flowers for 11 weeks and grows with a low, compact profile, it is great for SOG or SCROG grows in small rooms. Bred with medical users in mind, this should become a popular strain among those wishing to produce high quality, CBD rich oils and extracts.
The buds are bulky and hard and have the typical kush odour, the taste is very fruity with a sweet, smooth floral scent and berry undertones. The high is very comfortable and pleasurable and is accompanied by a mellow body stone. This plant delivers a pain relieving dose of CBD, without the racing thoughts or anxiety that one can experience from high THC, low CBD strains.

420_observer Mid-week post, more to come
Bravo seems to be doing a little better than Alpha
But they're both doing well
5/18
I trimmed them down to the two leaves and two branches on the fourth node 😷
Damn that was painful 😭
But they are doing fine and growing as intended 👌

420_observer Mid Week Post. More To Come.
1/22
Recovered from first cut,( made 2 branches).
Made the second cut, ( to create 4 ).
Made first LST tie down.
1/26
New branches forming
The roots are pissed off from being over watered
Plus the cold weather is affecting things as well
Have adjusted and I'm confident things will level off and back to normal this week
420_observer Last mainline cut made
That'll make 8 branches
Roots are unhappy
and that's starting to show in the color
They'll be moved to a better, more stable environment soon
That should help them recover
Pretty sure the problem is a combination of things
Crazy temp swings, and dialing in the nutrients to meet the needs of this strain

420_observer These girls are doing great!
Both are going to be little monsters.
Thought about moving them to the big tent, but the temp was still too low.
Although, they are starting their growth spurt so, they'll be moved next week regardless.
Nothing trimmed.
Fed them. Watered them.
Played some Marley & Grateful Dead for them....
Alpha has an unintended branch, but I got it bent over now. Should be fine.
This strain does stand out though.
It is very hearty and recovers very quickly.
I do look forward to processing these girls post harvest.
A quick Shout-Out to Spliff Seeds, and their CBD Medi strain.
Me likey a lot!

420_observer I sort of failed with Alpha
After the second round of topping
Alpha developed a ... or rather re-developed her main branch from the Round One Topping Cut
At first, I thought hey cool, I just get an extra branch
But as she is developing, I can know see how that was a mistake
As stated, the lower round spare branch has redeveloped as the main branch
In an effort to correct, I have pulled it down and the top has responded by turning upward at a good point
So yea!
We do get an extra branch
But I still should not have let it grow out
We're still dealing with the weather/temp fluctuations.
I certainly can see a difference in the plant's development.
Watching the extended weather I do believe we are riding out the last cold front.
Some consolation is that I do have the lights and air temp dialed in.
But it's the floor and by extension the soil/root temps that are my problem.
Also this week we added TNB Naturals' The Enricher to the nutrient mix.
Won that in the GrowDiaries February contest, thought 'might as well try it' ....😀
Overall - I'm not happy that my girls are unhappy
But I do know they'll be okay

A LOT of flower nodes
Since I've untied them
The branches have started going vertical again
Which is normal, but these girls are tightening up a bit more than the rest
Started the TnB CO2 system
That should give a bit of a boost

Flower nodes are still getting bigger
And there are a LOT of nodes
Trichomes are milky to white
No tan or amber ones that I've found
But I expect that'll be changing fairly soon
Provided the trichomes stay milky white
I'll continue to feed them
Soon as I start seeing tan and amber
Then its water only
These girls have had some hardship
But they are very hearty and grow well with little attention
Spliff Seeds does produce a good product 😀
If one were the pamper them, I have no doubt they'd be worth the extra effort 👌

Very nice, Dense flowers, Strong fragrance. We processed one plant into tincture as a medical supplement. The patient had nothing but high praise and stated it helped tremendously. Very easy to grow. No problems with the plant. I definitely recommend it!
I certainly will be growing it again :-)

420_observer Impressive strain. Very much worth your time and effort. Considering the shortened grow cycle, we still got a larger than expect harvest.
@@420_observer,Sounds good, i got a bottle too... and used it... well i dont know the difference^^ but i had a wonderful harvest on this Girls... i refilled the bottle by myself with yeast and sugar..., because there were no refillers added... and it worked wonderful too.
@Mrs_Larimar, a few things happened... The weather turned and it's warmer now, I think that is the biggest contributor. But I also received the prize package from the February diary of the month contest. In that package was a TNB Enhancer CO2 system.
I strung up that CO2 bottle and it's been going for a week now. That was the other major contributor. All of the plants in that tent responded very nicely to the addition of that CO2. The GDP's blew up HUGE!
The other thing was simply paying more attention to them. Making sure they did not want for anything. Ensuring they were watered properly, and fed in a consistent manner. Doing whatever it took to maintain a good temperature thru the nights.
I knew there would be a few hurdles going from winter to spring -- and generally speaking -- I think I timed everything okay.
Given were we are right now - I believe all of the girls will turn out very nicely.😋
@Mrs_Larimar, Yes ma'am - tested one out that uses champagne yeast, deploying it today. Explosions can be fun, but only from a distance 😜 I hope there wasn't too much damage.
@Mrs_Larimar, Yes ma'am, things have gotten more stable and they are responding to that consistency. Hopefully, they're on a good run until the finish. 😁
