Starting my first proper grow. Set up cost (fixed costs) -Lamp: 40€ -Timer: 3,5€ -Pot: 4€ -Total fixed costs: 47,5€ Given 5 years (or 15 grows) usage time translates to around 3,17€ per grow in materials. Variable costs: -Seed: 5€ -Soil: 6€ -Fertilizer: 3,50€ -Power (100 days 20h/day): ~16,13€ (exact figure after harvest) -Total variable costs: ~30,63€ -Total costs per grow: ~33,80€ What I've learned from my first two grows: -Bigger Pot -Very litle water in the first weeks -Topping the plant to prevent the main branch towering over the others / better canopy management The soil is All-Mix with a few hands full of Light-Mix around the seedling. PH is adjusted with vinegar and the tap water information for my zip code No fertilizer until flower I am very happy with the performance of the 36W LED so its gonna be by my side for a long time to come.

Looks pretty good, just some wrinkling on the leafs. Had this with every grow and thought it was over watering. That could not be it this time so maybe its nutrient stress(?) Topping her probably next week. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Set up cost (fixed costs) -Lamp: 40€ -Timer: 3,5€ -Pot: 4€ -Total fixed costs: 47,5€ Given 5 years (or 15 grows) usage time translates to around 3,17€ per grow in materials. This week I first removed two leafs that blocked the lower two nodes. After that I made sure that none of the nodes get shaded by the top with some tape. Don't think that does much but why not try it? While watering I noticed that the soil near the edge of the pot was too dry to take in any water so I watered the pot with a few liters of water. Not ideal but with the temperatures we have atm, it wasnt a problem. On Day 13 I topped the plant and added the first two stakes after another day of growth. After topping and LST the plant topped it self again on BOTH main shoots! Unfortunately the main stem split down the middle because of the two branches beeing pulled apart. I always remove all the leafs that shade developing nodes. I also cut off all shoots that face towards the floor after the branch is bent down. Shout out to @basementganja on Youtube for the LST videos. Has anyone had the problem of a split main stem after topping and LST? I wonder what happens to the part I had to tie together when the stem grows thicker... does it restrict the plant or will the line just grow into the stem?

It will be just fine............if no branches have gone droopy or wilted as yet, things will be ok. The slight split will not affect growth rates, yields or potency in any sort of negative way. You can safely remove the string/twine/line, it is not helping or doing anything positive for the plant.

She started stretching and shows clear signs of bloom. I am not too happy with her growth. I feel like my previous plants were way more vigorous an grew faster. I am not sure if its the genetics or stress. Even the tap root was very weak while germination and grew quite slowly. It could also be the stress from topping and the main stem splitting. The canopy is way easier to manage though due to topping and having only 4 main branches. I gave her 50g of GHF Bio Bloom today. I am looking forward not having to mix fertilizer all the time like with my last grows. She is doing alright. I still feel like she is not growing at the same rate as my past grows. Canopy grew very efficiently and is easy to manage. The buds are slowly bulking up. Wierdly almost all hairs have turned brown already. Dont know whats that about since she should have like at least 4 weeks to go lol. Leafs look really healthy and she looks in great shape over all. All going well. Leafs still look super healthy and buds are actually bulking up quiet nicely as well. All in all it went alright. With only 56 days she was very quick. Ithink the yield suffered through stress due to the main stem splitting in half after topping. I really like the amount of good sized buds though. Also they are all very consistend. In the end it comes out to 1,22€/g With these grows I am aiming to get below 1€/g so the mission was not succesful this time around.
