Start of week 7, looking good minus what I believe is slight light burn, I raised the light up a bit and am considering giving it 6 on 2 off. On day 4, I mixed up Coast of Maine Stonington Blend soil/ Quoddy lobster compost/perlite/mycorrhizals. I made a slightly stronger nutrient layer for the bottom few inches, and blended the top of that in with the more regular strength blend. I seeded some red clover on half (pest control apparently) and white clover on the other half. I then topped with Quoddy and perlite. I'm hoping that this doesn't shoot the root straight down like ive heard papaya likes to do, but if it does, I packed the heavier nutrient layer mostly out to the sides. Just an experiment to see how hands off I can be with the nutrients for this plant, though I may top dress fishbone meal at some point, and I definitely do a tea every 3/4th watering. My first auto, so if anyone has any nuggets of wisdom to share, let's hear it!
