Start of Week 3!
Setup Changes:
Placed some clips to keep the lowest leafs from touching the ground.
Got a new fan for better airflow.
Returned my humidifier; wet towels seem to be more efficient for the time being. Every time I increase my humidity to 70% and more, I get instant big green growth that disappears after the soil dries.
Day 18
Explosive growth and wrinkly leafs.
I don’t mind, the plants are growing lovely. They are exactly 30 cm away from the lamp now, sprouting new leafs and nodes everywhere.
After a big stem and height boost overnight, they grew between 11-16 cm after a long period of not gaining much height.
Planning to repot this weekend and flower in 2-3 weeks.
Day 19
We rollin'.
Day 20
Leafs are crisping up and I have some light spots, but it’s just on one plant.
I decided to increase the humidity and join team algae. They seem to perform better with higher humidity and algae than with lower humidity and no algae.
Still moistening the surface and plan to replant in 1-2 days if they look well enough.
That said, I think I enjoy the gardening mindset and will let the plants be plants.
Day 21
Too crispy.
I have some light spots on the old bottom leafs forming on more than one plant now.
I weighed them again and realized I let them be too dry (voices in my head warning about newbs overwatering). I also misunderstood the fertilizer usage and didn’t give it every time like it says to do. I also didnt adjust my watering intervalls even thought i watered only 1/2 last time.
After some research, I found out I flushed too many nutrients. I watered them with the correct nutrients again and hope I didn’t do too much damage.
Day 22
Morning:
Way better already. At this pace, they will be back to good in no time. Can’t see new signs of leaf damage but will lose some lower leafs due to the holes. No problem, they were at the very bottom anyways.
Night:
I weighed them again and they already drank all of the water in one day! They look healthy enough to repot and I’m up to the task.
New pots at 11L filled with BB All Mix, 7.7 kg very near to drain. They look a little stressed but who wouldn’t after moving to a new home. These will be the final pots.
Hung the lamps a bit higher for better airflow with hot weather, keeping ppfd arround 600-700
Day 23
I try to keep my humidity above 60% since low humidity + low water seems to cause damage fast.
Leafs feel better and sweat more with higher humidity. The plants look a lot better already. If it keeps going like this, they should be back to good tomorrow.
Day 24
Look at that! They look good!
New leafs develop as they should. About a week till flowering.
