1st Grow Journal Starting Early and Excited! Expected my stuff to arrive next week, but here we are, and I am happy to start a week early. Day 1: Planting the Seeds Planted those 6 bad boys yesterday in Eazy Plugs and had a bit of a learning curve adjusting the tent, resulting in a high 90% humidity on day 1 in a small greenhouse. Considering I didn’t soak them in water before and am using Eazy Plugs, I think I am fine. Watered again on day 2 with a sprayer. Already seeing white signs of life! Adjustments and Optimizations Adjusted the humidity (cap off a bit and not closed). Now it sits at 55%, temp around 25°C. Moved the lights closer to the plants, readjusted my airflow for the light temperatures, and am spraying the little ones 2x a day. So far, so good! Considering moving my main LED cooling fan a bit lower to achieve cooler temps, but I will also get a second fan for the plants later on. 🌱 Day 2: Mission 1 Success Moved the lights closer to the plants, readjusted my airflow for the light temperatures, and am spraying the little ones 2x a day. So far, so good! Today feels more chill. Beeing away at work for 9 hours and not looking at temps every 2 nanoseconds helps to grasp that those little things do well without me :") I can see the first leafs; one seed wasn't placed well and had to be readjusted. Helped some out of their cage, and now they are looking good. All 6 alive and well!. After revisiting the Mars Hydro site i decided to lower the Lamp to only 30 cm away with 25% Dim. My Measurings showed high 5-600 ppfd with me aiming for 300 before this is a big change but the temperatures seem to be good so ill give it a shot in fear of long long legs. 🌿 Day 3: Steady Progress The first few real leafs are getting stable, and roots are already piercing the bottom. They seem to react well to the new, shorter distance to the grow light. All seed shells are gone; I helped birth some. I plan to move to a pot very soon, maybe tomorrow, but will keep all 6 (the initial plan was to choose the best 4). All the nervousness has turned to happiness. Cool hobby.

Next Phase: Day5: Roots were getting out of the pot and i read a lot about when to repot and choose to do so now in a 2,3l Pot. I Use Biobizz Light mix and stole some hight of my Plants. Gave them about 4-5 Liters and plan to water with 1l each again when 1/3 of the pot weight is gone. Im misting them lightly in the morning to not get dead soil. Readjusted the lights a bit higher to 38cm away for better coverage while i need to place my plants higher. Im giving them little by little more light each day now. Experimenting with ways to get my humidity up more, hung wet towels for minor increase. So far so good, leafs developing nicely. hope they like the nutrients well. Day 6: Real Leafs beginn to get bigger, plants dont stretch, im happy. Made some tent changes for constant 60+% hydro. Smaller overflow seaters for smaller pot distance. Day7: Last week they were only seeds :“) Nice growth having some trouble with hot weather, learning to adjust. Hung the lights a bit higher, temp resons. Day8: We got a new pair of leafs on everyone. Grew a cm each. Day9: Pots were dry enough to rewater, reweighted after drain and everyone is between 1200-1500g. Added more nutrients which the Plants responded to with explosive leaf growth. Higher Humidity and Temp cause of the weather right now. Day 10: We are cruisin. The big leafs are getting bigger some plants are a little bigger than others. Still very moist soil. Day 11: Too Moist Soil. I got some green Algee on one of my plants directly around the Stem. After some research i should be fine with lowering humidity and not watering. (great just when the humidifier arrived) Might switch watering style. Leafs show some wrinkels, i will keep a eye on it. Was told it might be the strains genetics. I upped the lights ppfd to arround 550, dim at 30%. We are back to 6 cm like pre repotting Week one of Veg went by like a breeze, i see big growth coming and am excited for all the new leafs generating even more growth!

Week 2 Veg Day 11: Explosive growth and wrinkly leafs. Some low humidity to counter green algae growth. Going strong. Day 12: Wow, we are getting big. Can easily see growth every few hours now that I don’t have to measure. I am at 30cm since my plants grew a bit and 50% dim now, ~500-700 PPFD. Day 13: Got my new humidifier. Tests show 60% humidity at the lowest setting. Day 14: I did the bad thing. Drying rack in room = high humidity. Forgot to up my dimmer after photos, so they had 1% light for 6-7 hours, resulting in a very wet night perfect for the algae. All plants but one show algae now. I’ll keep going like before and keep an eye on the humidity since they don’t seem to mind. Day 15: Wasn’t home. Day 16: Dry plants cry for water. First time I see hanging leafs gone after watering. Algae completely gone. Gave about 500 ml each with nutrients. Day 17: Steady progress. Last day veg week 2 High temps and lower humidity because of hot weather.

Start of Week 3! Setup Changes: Placed some clips to keep the lowest leafs from touching the ground. Got a new fan for better airflow. Returned my humidifier; wet towels seem to be more efficient for the time being. Every time I increase my humidity to 70% and more, I get instant big green growth that disappears after the soil dries. Day 18 Explosive growth and wrinkly leafs. I don’t mind, the plants are growing lovely. They are exactly 30 cm away from the lamp now, sprouting new leafs and nodes everywhere. After a big stem and height boost overnight, they grew between 11-16 cm after a long period of not gaining much height. Planning to repot this weekend and flower in 2-3 weeks. Day 19 We rollin'. Day 20 Leafs are crisping up and I have some light spots, but it’s just on one plant. I decided to increase the humidity and join team algae. They seem to perform better with higher humidity and algae than with lower humidity and no algae. Still moistening the surface and plan to replant in 1-2 days if they look well enough. That said, I think I enjoy the gardening mindset and will let the plants be plants. Day 21 Too crispy. I have some light spots on the old bottom leafs forming on more than one plant now. I weighed them again and realized I let them be too dry (voices in my head warning about newbs overwatering). I also misunderstood the fertilizer usage and didn’t give it every time like it says to do. I also didnt adjust my watering intervalls even thought i watered only 1/2 last time. After some research, I found out I flushed too many nutrients. I watered them with the correct nutrients again and hope I didn’t do too much damage. Day 22 Morning: Way better already. At this pace, they will be back to good in no time. Can’t see new signs of leaf damage but will lose some lower leafs due to the holes. No problem, they were at the very bottom anyways. Night: I weighed them again and they already drank all of the water in one day! They look healthy enough to repot and I’m up to the task. New pots at 11L filled with BB All Mix, 7.7 kg very near to drain. They look a little stressed but who wouldn’t after moving to a new home. These will be the final pots. Hung the lamps a bit higher for better airflow with hot weather, keeping ppfd arround 600-700 Day 23 I try to keep my humidity above 60% since low humidity + low water seems to cause damage fast. Leafs feel better and sweat more with higher humidity. The plants look a lot better already. If it keeps going like this, they should be back to good tomorrow. Day 24 Look at that! They look good! New leafs develop as they should. About a week till flowering.

Week 4 is here and we are starting with a boom! New flowering places everywhere—14 cm of growth this week, and the first root is already at the bottom. They love life. Day 25: I think I’ve got the watering down now, and using nutrients has kind of healed the damaged lower leafs, slowing down decay massively. Other leafs are not crisp anymore either; I’ve got a few odd leafs, but I think that’s normal. I’ve got the humidity at 60%+ at all times now, and the leafs look way better, sweating more. We are not far from flowering, but I’ve got some drinking to do and won’t be here for 3 days after tomorrow. Just watered everyone with 0.8L and plan to do so again tomorrow. PPFD around 600-700. Dim set to 75%.
