Discretion is needed, so trying out a smaller pot to understand growth process in detail and stages of the plant. Have already seen it react to over watering which was eye-opening.
Fell to a common novice grower mistake, nutrient burn. Noticed the plants leaves weren't in praying position one while day and woke up to completely twisted leaves the morning after. Luckily it didn't affect every leaf/branch, so only gave normal water for the rest of the week. Also decided to top (after I felt it recovered from the nutrient burn) and it looks to be recovering alright with two colas growing in.
Stretched enough for LST clips. Gave it a week off from nutrients before feeding it a bit after the nute burn. Also looks to be fully recovered from the topping!
Pistils have started to grow and resin can be seen. Looks to be fully recovered from initial nute burn and heat stress. Have removed two leaves which seemed completely done from heat stress and no visible side affect from doing so.
While short, it is the intended size and curious to see how dense/light buds will grow. Have counted 14 bud sites throughout, so feeling hopeful.
Harvested my first outdoor grow early as it began to herm and started to grow seeds unfortunately.
Came to check here and now learned about differences between pollen sacs and calyxes. Am nervous that this one may have been pollinated due to the tips od the pistils turning brown and the rest remaining white, but will continue with the process to completion for sake of learning.
Practically all pistils on top are brown, which I believe is way too early. Some flowers are starting to look plump as if there are seeds inside them?
I've read autos can have pistils turn brown early if there's too much stress and this one has going through an overwatering once, heat stress once, topping, and nute burn. So will continue the process, but not expecting much.
Minimal bud growth, going to expect larfs out of this one but will continue to completion.
Chalking up this one to too mu h stress early on and beginner mistakes.
I believe this strain is more of a "less is more", and should be left to its own devices. Still smells great!
Plant took a while but may have readjusted to new, larger pot. Now very fragrant and fruity smell. Minimal bud growth, albeit still noticeable.
Checked trichomes and starting to see some amber!
