Plant hermied out on me in week 3 of flower. Could have just been dealt a bad hand. Idk I doubt it. It never showed any signs of stress. Never got hungry. No light leaks. Double and triple checked. And the only other diary on here also produced hermies the same week. It did produce massive buds. Hopefully not too pollenated. She got quarantined and de nannered. Lightly pollenated my other plants but not horribly so. 1 seed every few nugs or so. Not bad at all.
My plant hermied out on me. Didn't see any open nanner sacks but I did find some premie ones and seeds developing in the bracts. I quarantined her back into the 2x4 and wiped down the walls on my 4x8. No signs on the others but ow screwed am I?
Its still smokable weed, just grinding needs to be done by hand. Any grinded seeds makes splif taste waxy ugly.
From time to time you get few random seeds on plant , but not more than 3-5.
Hermied plant could polinate all and heavily. I had it once, more than kilo of weed with seeds, still all was consumed.
If polination is heavy - you can always do bubble hash or eatables.
Hey, sharing my notes I have 2 plants of eggnog that both hermied and not sure what I did to stress them. Notably the tallest had the least issues, the shorter one had more nanners to pluck off, and after a week of inspecting their aren’t sacks growing nearly as often. Spend about 10 min each on these 2 plants plucking daily now and so far feel like I’ve caught it early enough to save most of it. I’m a newb to this too. Only grow space in this tent so I’m giving my best attempt to finish despite the risks of seeding. I just wanted to say good taste in strain choice and kudos on your grow so far.
I'll absolutely be giving these seeds another go but maybe try to keep them shorter and more careful with nutes and pH 🤙
@DibbyDab, damn bro I think its genetics. I didn't do anything to stress mine out either I don't feel like. Kinda shitty. Good luck if you give em another go. I got some different strains for my next grow. It's putting out some massive buds tho.
