I soaked these in a glass of water 10 hours then planted .75" deep in the soil. It rained and the soil stayed wet. I was very concerned they wouldn't pop. The apple fritters I planted with them didn't. These popped after about two days in soil.
I cleared up the powdery mildew these girls caught in their lower leaves with Growers Ally fungicide. The look great now.
The nutrients listed above are ml per gallon of soil applied in a top dressing.
The rain has set in on day 6 this week. The day time high on day 6 was 71°F.
Day 7 we had a high temperature of 77°F. We had a big front move through today. It been raining and overcast all day. The girls seem to be loving it, but I'll need to treat for powdery mildew again ASAP.
This week was a success. These girls have really taken off. With the exception of the powdery mildew issue, these plants have been exceptional.
Day 1 we had a high temperature today of 83° F. Skies were cloudy to partly cloudy and it rained for several hours
Day 2 we had a high temperature of 91°F. We had rain overnight and early morning. The skies were partly cloudy and I didn't have to water today.
Day 3 we had a high temperature of 90°F. Skies were sunny and I watered 4-5 gallons per pot once. I treated with Growers Ally Fungicide just before dark. The girls are getting nitrogen hungry. I added 100ml feather meal top dressed to all pots.
Day 4 we had a high temperature of 90°F. Skies were sunny and it wasn't as humid as it's been. I watered about 5 gallons per pot ,once, from the well.
Day 5 we had a high temperature of 83°F. Skies were mostly cloudy. I watered about 5 gallons per pot once. A few of these have started to run out of nitrogen. I added another 100ml of feather meal and 45 ml of coop poop.
Day 6 we had a high temperature of 77°, clear sunny skies, and humidity at 66%. This weather is very fall like and the plants are loving it. We've got rain in the weekend forecast though. I hope we miss it.
Day 1 we had a high temperature of 91°F. It was partly cloudy. I added 100 ml feather meal and watered about 5 gallons from the well.
Day 2 we had a high temperature of 94°F. The girls were thirsty. I watered about 6 gallons per pot. I really wet them and the ground under the pots. They're feeding on the runoff in the soil as they've rooted through the pots.
Day 3 It was hot high was 94 but felt like 102. I watered about 5 gallons per pot twice.
Day 4 we had a high temperature of 90°F. Skies were partly cloudy. I watered about 5 gallons each pot.
Day 5 and 6 we had lots of rain. Day 6 all day rain.
Day 7 we had a high temperature of 88°F with clear sunny skies. I watered about 5 gallons per pot with well water. I added 45ml coop poop, 50ml soluble kelp and 75ml feather meal.
