SwaggyP Hello, I don't want to get a tent for aesthetic reasons and consider the plant as a "houseplant." The smell doesn't bother me or my roommate, so that's fine.
This is now my second grow with the little Sansi Growlight, which I previously just used for houseplants.
I let the seed germinate for 48 hours in wet paper towels and then directly potted it into the substrate.

SwaggyP Bad Start
Right after the cotyledons came out of the soil, my lamp gave up and wouldn't turn on anymore. It took 4 days for the new lamp to arrive, during which the plant only got 2 hours of morning sun and stood by the window without direct sunlight. It got a bit stretchy.
I switched directly to a Mars Hydro TS1000, which costs only twice as much as the Sansi.
I added a bit more substrate on top for stability.
By the end of week 1, we're back on track.
By the way, I'm using reverse osmosis water for the entire grow with the specified amount of liquid fertilizer. There won't be any liter measurements; I go by feel. Once the plant is bigger and I need to water more, I'll also measure the pH of the drain.

SwaggyP I think the growth is relatively slow, and somehow the lower leaves are turning yellow (you can see that in the last picture; in reality, it looks much paler and yellower than in the picture). I watered once a week with about 400ml on August 19th. The soil is slowly drying out today (August 22nd), so I'll water again tomorrow with nutrients. I raised the lamp a bit, and about 350 PPFD is reaching the plant. Does anyone have an idea where the deficiency symptoms are coming from? The pH of the watering water is at 6.3, and the soil should have enough nutrients for the start due to the worm humus, and I did water with some nutrients last week. There are already nice white roots coming out at the bottom of the pot. Either the plant is getting too much light, or I have no idea?

SwaggyP Happy is something else.
I think the growth is limited due to spider mites, but I can't really tell. I have a glass bowl on the plant for now (so that the spider mites, if there are any, have a harder time because I don't have any beneficial insects or pesticides right now).
However, this has caused slight burning on the leaves because the condensation and the glass probably acted like a magnifying glass.
I'm really not happy yet, let's see what the future brings :)
With the next growth point, I think I'll top the plant, then I'll have 4 nodes and will do a bit of LST.

SwaggyP I canceled the grow. Plant and soil are in the organic waste. I'm moving on Sunday anyway and have 3 seeds from Green House Seeds in the queue. So from then on, a new thread.
