Hey there buddingbudda, the only way to reliably test bud is to use a mass spectrometer , so if you want you'll need something like 2 million dollars and a laboratory license lol. The other very reliable way that folks can **actually** test the bud is to find the national lab from your country , many times they offer confidential testing for substances , including mary jane, they'll send you back the low down of THC-A / THC ratios and do microbial tests. In america it's a bit different because there isnt like one "national lab" that does all this, so we have loads of small labs like this one : https://keystonelabs.ca/services/regulated-cannabis-testing/ and they do tests, with a fee...
