The seeds germinated rather quickly, so i prepared the soil mix (perlite and soil) in a 15 litre pot (4 gal), placed a random aldi fan inside for better air circulation and set the lamp to a 24/7 light cycle since we are trying to maximise the yield off this one autoflower. I placed the light 30 centimeters (1foot) above the pot and waited for the seed to peep out of the soil. i did not add any nutrients during the first week.
the seedling seems rather weak at this point, and i had a little oopsie where the fan fell on it. thankfully it was alright afterwards. i watered the plant once per every two or three days.
i started adding some growtek growth booster, i didnt have time to start training and pruning the plant just yet, but since this plant grows to be a tall structure that will be very necessary BulkSeed states that this plant can grow from 100 to 160 cm i believe, which exceeds the height of my tent.
I started LST, binding the main stem down to the side of the pot allowing other branches to catch up in height. The plant will need some defoliation soon, because the larger fan leaves are starting to block off light from smaller side branching.
I continued the LST and defoliated a few fan leaves that obstructed light. i bound the other stems of the plant lower to keep it a bit more down since it was growing at a rapid rate.
I was away for a week and could not water the plant at all, nor feed it. this left some consequences to the poor thing. as soon as i saw in what condition it was i acted upon it. i rehydrated the soil using shower water. i placed it in the shower and just started blasting it with water. i was not afraid of overwatering because the soil was so dry all of the water just went straight through. after about 20 minutes of this i mixed some nutrients (seaweed extract, mycose and growth booster to revive the plant. i plucked off all of the dry and fucked up leaves and sprayed the plant with a misting bottle.
i eyeballed all of the nutrients since i was such in a hurry so i cant really report on how much i fed it :(
honestly no defoliation was needed since so many leaves fell off during the period where the plant dried out. i wonder how much the caused stress will impact the yield
the leave tips are a bit dried out/yellowing but i dont know if that is from the light being too close, me overwatering the plant, the tent humidity being too high or all of the above.
the plant is doing much better than it used to. will update next week, hopefully the plant makes a full recovery.
i might lower the light cycle to 12/12 if the plant doesnt get any better since the yellow leaf tips are kind of worrying to me. ill need to hook up the carbon filter soon since the smell is getting stronger.
