Used another app to keep track before flowering.
Adapted blueprints of the IKEA DIY closet from MIGRO youtube channel (https://youtu.be/FNdmRoKJT7E?si=XLWAaWeXUr24ZvoP) to suit my needs.
Do Si Dos 33 (Barney's Farm) seed.
Used many training techniques to get many tops for a full scrog.
Defoliated periodically to expose all branches to light.
Using 80% coco / 20% perlite, double buffered with cal-mag, WHY? https://www.cocoforcannabis.com/how-to-prepare-and-buffer-coco-coir/
using CocoForCannabis feeding chart adapted to nutrients avalible where I live.
Week 1 of flower 8/9/24
Week 3 of flower 8/23/24
Defoliated periodically for all the tops to get maximum light exposure.
Smelling tropical fruits notes and sweet candy smell.
Changed the nutrients to fit the third week of flower.
Week 4 of flower 8/30/24
Defoliated a little for all the tops to get maximum light exposure.
Some strange marking started to appear on some of the leaves.
The problem was a very high salts buildup in the coco because I watered with almost no drainage for a couple of days.
EC 3, in the drainage.
PH was a little high but still at normal range.
Watered with a diluted nutrient solution with H2O2 (2.5ml a gallon).
Waited a couple of hours and watered with nutrients again same day without the H2O2 (usually I water once daily at the start of the 12 light cycle).
EC got lower to 1.6 and on the following days it got lower even more to 1.3.
The plant seems happy and there is damage only on some parts of the leaves/branches. (seems like the salt buildup was only in some areas of the roots because only specific ares of the plant got damaged.)
I like to see the daily progress in mass and trichome production :)
Noticed the plant mass increasing daily.
The smell intensified a bit
I grabbed the leaves I defoliated, rubbed the trichomes to release the oils and the smell was just incredible, It is not fully developed yet so I cannot put my finger on the most dominant terpenes, but I can surely tell the smell of tropical fruits mixed with sweet candy notes are something mega pleasant.
Watering with nutrients daily (mama likes to drink a lot).
Week 5 of flower 9/6/24
After neglecting to check runoff EC, the reading was 3 and PH 4.7, it's crazy that the plant did not show any signs of damage besides one branch.
After flushing the growing medium with RO water + FloraKleen + H2O2 (PH 6.5), the runoff PH was still to high.
The problem persisted after watering with 50% dilution nutrient solution and still getting low PH readings and high EC.
The solution was to put something underneath the fabric pot, to create a gap for the runoff water to drain freely from the bottom part.
Before, the fabric pot was sitting on the plate and the runoff was draining from 2 little holes in the middle to the drain compartment.
Right after creating the gap and watering, all the readings were corrected.
Fortunately, all salt build up got washed away, and the plant showed no more problems. :)
On day 26 days of flower, the nutrient schedule was changed to fit the fifth week of flower.
Note to self: check PH and EC every 3 waterings.
Week 6 of flower 9/13/24
Changed the nutrients to fit week 6 of flower.
Runoff PH and EC daily (EC 1.3, PH 5.1).
using H2O2 with every watering (to help the PH stabilize at 5.5-6.5 range if there is a root problem).
plant seems happy and not showing necrosis/ nutrient burn problems.
Hand watering ones a day at the beginning of the light schedule.
Week 7 of flower 9/20/24
Changed the nutrients on 9/23/24 to fit the ripening stage.
Using FinalPart with ProBloom EC 1.3, PH 6-6.2.
Checking runoff PH and EC daily (EC 1.25, PH 5.2).
Using H2O2 with every watering (to help the PH stabilize at 5.5-6.5 range if there is a root problem).
Plant seems happy and not showing necrosis/nutrient burn problems.
Hand watering ones a day at the beginning of the light schedule.
Week 8 of flower 9/27/24
Stopped giving T.A. FinalPart after a week because plant showed sings of nutrient burn.
Started watering with only water to leech out nutrients from the media to get the plant to cannibalize itself.
Hand watering ones a day at the beginning of the light schedule.
You can see in the video, one of the colas and the area near it got heavily burned from excessive nutrient salts in the media,
I attribute it to the 3 days I watered the plant without runoff in mid flower.
A couple more days and it is time to chop :)
Great strain, would recommend.
Nice smoke/vapor, friends love it, stupefying and euphoric, no heavy couch lock like heavy indicas.
Taste great in The Mighty vaporizer, citrus with a hint of pine.
