Week 1 - on Sunday 8/18 I placed 4 seeds in a cup of distilled water and let them soak for 24 hours. After 24 hours I poured the seeds into a paper towel and removed the excess water. I placed the paper towel on a paper plate and then on a warming mat. The next morning 3 of the 4 seeds had tap roots. 12 hours later the 4th seed developed a tap root as well. I planted them in 5 gallon fabric pots approximately 1/4-1/2" below the surface and pre-moistened the hole with ph 6.5 water in a spray bottle. I'm keeping the top surface damp with spray bottle. Today 8/20 nothing to report. The conditions in the grow tent are optimal, 75F, 60%RH, 1.19VPD. I've got the lights at 50% power and hanging approximately 30" away from the pots. No seeds have emerged from the soil yet. I would hope to see something by the end of the week. I think I've done everything correctly at this point so I'm just going to be patient. Once the plants emerge and we get into vegetative state, I'll water 1.5-2 liters of ph'd water every 3 days. Update: Tuesday 8/20 during a routine check of the plants, I saw the first seed push through. I added a picture. Very exciting to see them start to grow. Update 2: Wednesday 8/21 all four plants are up out of the ground which I consider a success and first hurdle. Conditions in the tent continue to be good/great. I'm looking forward to the plants strengthening and growing. Update 3: Friday 8/23 all four plants are doing well and getting bigger. I'm now trying to stabilize the conditions in the tent/room...the plants are in a downstairs room that is kind of sealed off from the rest of the basement. I am struggling a bit with humidity in the room (not the tent) and I'm learning how the air outside the tent is impacting the inside of the tent. Interesting for sure. The plants themselves seem healthy and the first set of leaves are getting bigger by the day.

@dvr147, also after looking at your photos I see that when you spray you spray the plant as well.. I personally do not do that I spray the dirt around it and try not to get too much water on the seedling one of the photos there's a big water droplet that water droplet can act like a magnifying glass with the light and burn that leaf and at this stage would ultimately probably kill that plant so after you spray take a paper towel and with the corner just tap on the water droplets without disrupting your seedling

@Hempface86, awesome to hear, I appreciate any input you can give of course. I'm so excited to see them all emerge from the ground. My biggest fear and/or question is how much water? I'm trying to keep them moist but now that roots are clearly growing, I'm scared to death of over/under watering. So far, I've been spraying the top surface and then kind of drawing a ring around the plant with a few ounces of water...I realize I'm going to have to use more water as they grow but right now seems the most critical. I only work in the office one day a week so tending to the plants is easy since they're adjacent to my home office. I have a camera rigged up inside so I can watch what is going on without opening the tent and I've also got a separate camera doing a time-lapse. My grow "room" is walled off from the rest of the basement and stays rather cool. I've got a heater keeping the ambient temp of the room around 70F and inside the tent is around 75-78F. I'm using a connected humidifier which is keeping the RH at 60%...not quite sure if that should be adjusted or not? I'm sure I'm overthinking this, but I'd really like to try and make this grow successful. Anyway thank you for the information and I look forward to hearing what you have to say as the grow goes on. Thanks again for reaching out!

@dvr147, I started a year ago and it is the best hobby I could have ever imagined it is also very therapeutic.... I document my diaries on here on a weekly basis I might periodically alter them in the middle of the week if necessary but I'm old school I have a notebook and a pen and I daily make notes on my plants doing it on here would probably be a better idea and make for a better diary but I digress... The first week or two are the slowest .. the bigger she is the faster so grow and once she is flipped in the flower they are going to stretch and grow faster than you can imagine.. definitely over an inch a day for a couple weeks and that's when the fun starts.. I'll follow along.. if you have any questions let me know.. happy growing ✌️😎

@Hempface86, thank you! This morning all 4 plants have pushed through and by tomorrow I would expect them all to be opened up and starting their process. I'm finding that I really enjoy this as a hobby. Looking forward to documenting this grow the best I can.
