Both seeds dropped into directly into medium sprouted after day 4
Watering with about 25ml of water every 1-2 days or when medium feels/looks dry
Water ph around 6.4-6.8 (going to stick with 6.5 straight from here on out) ((edit: did some research and alot are saying a 5.8-6.2 ratio for coco ill be sticking to that))
Lighting schedule will be 18/6 for entirety
Lights on temp/humidity: upper 70°s - 55-65%
Lights off temp/humidity lower 70°s - 55-65%
Shooting for .90kPa - 1.2kPa , humidifier has been odd and shutting off so recently that number has been all over. Fixing that issue in the next few days.
( little rocky with the temp and humidity at first getting this new environment dialed in but I think I've got it)
This will be my first real grow I'm super excited for these genetics, heard/ seen great things about Fast Buds.
Noticed plant 1 yellowing, I believe due to 6.5 ph water ( i added an edit to germination slide mentioning my new understanding of coco’s closer relationship to hydroponics than soil) as well as over watering (just found out that the seedlings mainly take in water through leaves until established roots are present) Plant 2 showing signs of yellowing as well. i’d assume same diagnosis as plant 1 so i’ll be taking same precautions. 08/22 i gave them 5ml of 5.8 ph water to try and get some proper ph’d water on the establishing roots as well as misted both plants domes with 5.8 ph water
Light on temp/rh : 72°-75° - 60-65% ( higher in domes )
Light off temp/rh: 68°-71° - 40-50% ( trying to get that Rh higher with lights off but the domes are keeping it higher on the plants so i’m fine with that for now, when they get older i’ll be shooting for higher rh with lights off)
VPD : .80-1.2kPa ( if i can get my damn humidifier to not false flag my tank empty when it’s full…. i could dial that in better might have to nut up and buy a new humidifier if the company can’t help me…)
RIP plant 1, I over loved her and we lost her today. She was progressively getting worse. Due to my over watering, poor climate control, and many other factors she damped off and shriveled up. So from here on out ill still label plant 2, plant 2 to create less confusion. I dropped another seed in but I wont be documenting her progress till probably flower just to let yall know how she ended up.
Week 2 was a little rough due to my misunderstanding of brick coco's relationship with calmag..... LOL I didnt transplant into buffed coco but Im hoping watering with a little extra cal mag will feed the plant and replace all that salt with Mg and Ca. No longer a fully organic grow but to not stunt this auto more than it already was I did what had to be done. Shes coming back to life and getting that true green back in here from yellowing up. Not much else has changed, if you're keeping up you'll remember last week we lost our other seed due to manyyyy factors. Popped another lemon cherry in there shes doing wonderful will 5ml/ gal calmag watering. Pics of her will be posted at flower not much to see through veg. Everyone just wants to see them fire nugsssss.
Not doing much low stress training anymore other than pinning some fan leafs down to let those bud sites get some sun! Also top dressed 3 table spoon power bloom and 1 table spoon all purpose going into flower
she's lookin good and smelling better, Definitely a small nitrogen toxicity but she's still chuggin' I raised her up about 4 inches more to the light after noticing the leaves stretching up. Just been watering with cal mag
signs of calcium/ magnesium deficiency with the tips like that but that’s what not buffing coco will get you. a constant calmag war… lol. I also worry a bit with microclimates with all those leaves touching but i’m keeping good airflow on it and daily moving thing's around to get fresh air. Had to get a dehumidifier since hurricane helene did its thing, vpd was dropping to lowest .88 at night. For a few days until I realized what was going on.
Water further out from the base of the plant, I water about 6 to 7 inches away from my seedlings. This will cause the plant to root out in search of water and this pays off well.
@@Ganjalox, I catch my self watering around the stem often lol, usually just 50ml or so around this time in veg then another 100ml-150ml few inches around the base to promote that root growth. Appreciate the insight!
